Yeah I had a few ideas that never came on to the pen and paper. The stuff that did make it to pen and paper were standard face or upper body shots.
My scanner is very un-sensitive with picking up detail or lines that arent deepest shade black so Ill take a pic with a camera and post em, get this thing rollin.
I was going to do a Karin pinup but scrapped it since it was too similiar to one of the Udon’s sketchbook cover. I did a lot of thumbnails and sketches that I will post soon.
Yeah, my leftovers are mainly sketches and thumbs.
It’s probably of no surprise that my piece was drawn on the pavement, it was a bit of a mission wish I had the time and the materials to do more, so here are a few of the tiny drafts rejects from my A5 sketchbook:
Gief:
Blanka:
Sim:
And the final retry:
Just kidding, drawn in five mintues for a tut for a kids pavement art workshop
Now all we can do is wait
whatever happens all I know is that I did my best and I’m proud of the work I did.
It would be a dream come true for my artwork to get in, but I mainly want my siblings to get there work in there.
which ones were you kidding about just the last one? your stuff is just unique as it is, you would definitely have made it in just for that cool concrete + SF idea.
lol. mad superman sim. that woulda been tight. most of all the blanka would have looked super nice too. bursting out of the ground like that would prbly look sick as hell.
i sent in 2 before the deadline. ^^; actually wanted to try to do one more with ken and another of makoto before the deadline but i couldn’t flesh out the ideas enough. can’t wait to see if any of us make it. i know someone will.
I really wanted to enter this but I didn’t have enough time to finish and I was worried that my entry wouldn’t been to standard (which is kinda stupid) but yeah I wanted it to be hella good. I’ll probably still finish it and post on DA.
i just got the email from udon too! congrats everyone! captain, if i had my way, the ryu would have definitely made it into the book. he’s coming out of the friggin ground man.
