Street Fighter IV Match Videos: Top Players (+ 2009 US & World Champ Vids)

no Rose makes me sad

Great site man.

I know it’ll take a while but do you have any idea when you’ll get the console characters up on there?

Thanks for the catch!

I have updated the pages to the correct nationality.

Thanks!

Any idea how to embed the videos from that site with the Sakura vids you linked?
Also, anyone have any idea what the source of the material is?

I plan to add console character pages once I have enough top player match vids to fill out a page.
Until then, I will be adding console character matchups against characters that already have pages. (under the pages of those characters; ex. Seth has a match vid under Ryu)

I would love to refine/add to my “top player” lists for each character.
Currently I am following a VERY conservative method to selecting top videos and top player names to add.
I plan to add names from the PSN and XBLA at some point. (I want to give it some time after their player matchup patch hits)
I plan to add US/Other names after EVO.

That “Top SF4 players” link you sent was actually my thread.
I put that up with the hope of posting what I had researched as top players and then using the community resources to edit the list.
SRK actually ending up closing the thread.

this is just personal preference but I dont like that you have the match results beside the video, I like to be surprised.

PBalla also expressed a preference for this.

I’d like to have different data configurations toggleable for each user.
But my HTML isn’t good enough to do that yet. (my Excel is good enough, but that’s a different story)

For now you can do the trick of shrinking the window so that the match text is cut off.

I’ve also thought about setting it up so players can view videos by tournament or by player, or search/sort by other criteria. (but again I don’t have the HTML chops yet)
Or maybe just writing which tournament they are from next to the actual video window.

I also am looking to add more types of player tools.
For instance, right now I am tinkering with a color chart in Excel to show the tiering. (test: http://streetfighterdojo.com/sf4/data/charactermatchup.html)
Which I can break down by console, arcade, metagame, etc.

^ yea that would be coo.

thanks! now i have a new way to pass time when i’m on that graveyard shift

great site. make sure you don’t give in to pressure from people telling you “X player is a top player, you should have him on your site” or “Y player is not a top player, take him off your site”

I love you. (NoHomo)

Saves me trouble of trying to find Bison matches.

I’ve added these links to each characters’ page in the wiki under their Matchups sections.

Thanks?

It’s a start, and I will add more as they trickle onto the net.

Would you prefer I make a Cammy page with only 2 characters selectable with videos, or just wait until I have more matchups to flesh out a page?

Super awesome site. It’s just gonna get better and better too. You are missing Mike Ross on the EHonda page though. Tons of vids on him out there. Thanks for makin it man.

Godlike page, really :D.

And about the match results. You could make the font color of the results the same as the background color. So that if someone want’s to see the results he/she needs to highlight the text.

Just an idea though :P.

Hi zaspacer, great work.

Can you add these to the Ryu vs Blanka matchup?

AWESOME.

I for one would. Some characters you might never get to that point, so might as well show what you have.

Might as well wait till there are more matchups.

About the results thing, can you code it like how spoilers work here?

Just a thought, I know almost nothing about HTML coding.

Title of Spoiler

Spoiler

This is the example.

This is a great site. I think you should just delete the links that are more than 4 months old. Matches from 2008 are barely relevant anymore. The level of play has just risen that much.
