look i dont know how you guys got that room for free but i didnt. Its my first time trying to do something like this because it was fun and i enjoyed it. please understand i dont know all your terms and lingo yet… also at my events I am usually very busy and at times there may be misunderstandings… guys just realize its me, an unexperienced person doing this all mostly… i cant sign people up and talk to like 4 different people at the same time and answer everyone’s needs… I may say something then it might get misperceived… there was a team i was calling out yesterday like 3 times and they didnt know i was saying there name because i mispronounced it… and honestly i feel more like a personal hatred is against me. THXYOUTOO and lintrix especially… if people never kept saying rumours of me scamming in previous months then whatever happened yesterday would just be a result in a bad turn out… instead it makes me the bad guy becuase the “scammer” finally messed up… but what if it went as planned and ran smoothly…would it have been different? Yesterdays tournament was an exact duplicate of what happened in my first tournament… rather than yesterday being my first tournament it was my first big event and i was just gaining experience… like i said im not a pro i am a rookie at this but when i put my passion into something i try to give it my all.
but like i said if that is how you guys feel then i wont run tournaments plain in simple… i dont want to cause people any hatred for me due to misunderstandings or ruin something… thats why i just cancelled all plans for the future. I was tired of all this beef… no matter what i did positive i would always get that “scammer” image… I am really done with this because it really seems like a highschool thing… I told someone in my 1st tournament i didnt have time for any future tournaments because of my hectic schedule and i should of followed my instincts. but like i said i love street fighter…
look im sorry for any miscommunication or if i hurt anyone… but please just respect some of the things i did rather than all the negative comments.
You want to contribute… then help keep SF2 alive by including it as a main marqee game (SF2 HD remix) instead of waiting for someone to just volunteer to run only a freakn side scrub tourney where there was no guarantee of people even showing up (sorry I had to vent my frustration on that one).
Nor cal needs to have big HD remix tournies like they did when it was ST back in the day

The fact you are making any money doesn’t sit well with me really. I’ve hosted gatherings and ran tournaments for years and have never made a dime of any off them. I’ve had over 30 people at my house in vallejo and several people in my garage in concord onna regular basis. It used to take me hours to clean up my house after fools came over. Carrying fucking 100 pound tvs and shit to tournaments. My brother put his own money up to attract tekken players at the tournaments we ran at 707 tilt. And he doesn’t even make a lot money. Not one dime dude, not one. All for you fags. dont get me started.

You make long winded posts and don’t seem to address the questions people are asking you.
They will be satisfied if you just directly answered 2 things:
- How much did Mauricio charge you to rent the room?
- Who exactly did you pay for ‘renting games’ and ‘helping out’
Just a specific dollar amount along with names will suffice. Nothing else is needed. It seems most people brought their equipment for free. And everyone paid their entry fee to enter the tourney.
I think at this point actions speak louder than words. I honestly think if you run a tournament regardless of fees or whatever and your upfront about everything organized well and try to run it in a timely fashion that’s all you need to do.
Currently you’re getting really upset and canceling all your tournaments and whatnot, this doesn’t really help your cause. What a true organizer would do is take all this criticism and feedback and make your next one better, don’t get too offended by what people are saying use it to make your next one better.
I also think as this point though you need to put out the fires presented from this event and then move on to the next one.

I just find it funny I mentioned that I assumed he got the room for free last night and he chose not to decide not to mention that fact that it wasn’t free until Choi threatens to put him on the do not sponsor list. He had replied to my comment earlier and made no intention of correcting me thinking he got the room for free til then. Just saying

the venue fees didnt even cover this.
i personally paid out what could not be compensated by venue fees.
