Let’s see, Gill can create Fire and Ice, right? Pyron is fire. Demitri defeated Pyron. Gill wouldn’t last two seconds in the Darkstalker world.
I need to clear up a lot of misconceptions about Darkstalkers before this goes any further. As GF2 said in the past, leave DS to GG, SS, and LB, and leave SF to KOF, FF and AOF. These are fair match ups. I’ll post some stuff on Darkstalkers later.
TAS is a really cool guy, but to me the whole who is stronger between Gill, Oro and Gouki kind of falls into the “which beyond human act/feats/deeds/accomplishments do you personally think is more powerful?” category so I tend not to touch it. They are all three the most powerful in SF and I just leave it at that.

Haohmaru has a strong Samurai Spirit meaning he is not on the level of humans. You can note that pretty much all the bosses in SS are either Gods or have aquired the power of Gods and are usually defeated by Haohmaru. Also note that SS has selectable characters that are Gods like Nakaruru. Weither Haohmaru can defeat Demitri or not is another argument entirely but I said what I said not just based on the fact that people in SS weild swords. So yes, SNK for the NGP matching up Morrigan vs. Nakaruru is really quite brilliant. Sadly, CVS2’s Ryu vs. Haohmaru match up is not, nor is SVC for the NGP’s match up of Haohmaru vs. Zangief any good either. If you check the vs. Selection screen in CVS2, you can just match up all the characters with their adjacent characters for a bunch of cool match ups. If you do this with Haohmaru, you get Rolento. Still not the greatest match up, but maybe Rolento can surprise Haohmaru with a Grenade here and there before Rolento goes to the hospital.
Here are the Darkstalker Classes in the Makai. This is taken from Saiki’s Darkstalker Plot Guide from Gamefaqs that you should check out. Now, I’m not rewriting it exactly because some of the stuff written there does not serve any purpose for this discussion.
Class S - Jedah, Belail, Morrigan - They have the power to rule the Makai.
Class A - Demitri Maximov belongs here. This class is powerful enough to challenge Class S.
Class B+ - All the Darkstalkers in the games that are not Class S or A. Stronger than most of the Makai Citizens.
Class B - Six Million Beasts in Makai. No special abilities or powers.
Class C - Slave Class of Makai. Humans who wander into Makai are listed here and are immediatly turned into Slaves.
Class D - Inferior Beasts of the Makai that don’t look human. They can understand language and have formed there own society. Some of these beasts are stronger than Class B, some are B+ and all are stronger than Class C.
Not in his Darkstalker Plot Guide, but Saiki also made a Darkstalkers Power Tier List a few years back. It goes like this.
To bring me back to my original point, this is why I say that Rose is in no way in any size, shape or form Anita because there is no way Vega could every defeat someone who is that powerful at that young age. Yes, in the beginning it did seem that Capcom was trying to hint that Anita and Rose were one in the same but over time it seems that this idea was scrapped.

(This post sure has veered off in a strange direction, but…) It has been awhile since I’ve read the series, but Lestat was pretty goddamn powerful! (Is that why he is on the list twice??) Last I remember, Memnoch tells him he is getting close to having the same strength as angels have. Yeah, like freaking god’s angels. I’m guessing that is some powerful stuff.

SagatRyu - How would you rate Dracula of the Castlevania Games? Even though he’s been defeated many times by the Belmonts they use an enchanted whip that has the Soul of a Vampire. He’s a king of one of the Dimensions in Hell (Where he resides in between the games when he’s not roaming the Earth) and even has Death AKA the Grim Reaper as a Minion. Not to mention, being able to gather Frankenstein’s Monster, Mummies, Medusa, Werewolves and Zombies makes him pretty darn impressive, even if the Dracula from the new Van Helsing Movie stole some of his specialness…
Van Helsing was a great Movie, it just wasn’t scarry at all and I don’t think they were even trying to be scary. Ah well, good fun anyways.

Thanks, but why is Simon Belmont above Trevor Belmont? Trevor could channel spirits (Sypha, Grant Denasty, and The Famous Alucard) and become said Spirit. Simon Belmont has no abilities whatsoever unless you count his uncanny power to get old ladies to propose marraige to him in Simon’s Quest, LOL! Is it because he bested Dracula twice? Super Castlevania doesn’t count storyline wise since it’s a remake of the original Castlevania.

The cammy part was the best part of this issue, I like that splinter cell gear she had on.
