GG’s to everyone I played today on HF!
Beef Bowl…sorry man. I tried and tried to connect with you on AE. Then when you jumped on HF, I was in a room with a bunch of cool guys, so I kept trying to invite you there instead of going to your room. Later, I tried to join your room but it wouldn’t let me. We’ll play again someday :wgrin:
On a final note, I’ve been having terrible problems with my internet connection. I was mainly on there today to test it out. It seemed a bit better. Most of the matches played decently. But a few were glitchy and it was lagging me out of rooms constantly.
I’ve had the cable guy over here five times now. I’m starting to get really discouraged. Have any of you had problems like this? Did they ever fix it? Would I be better off switching to DSL? Not being able to play lately has been driving me nuts :sad:
SweetJV - XBox Live took a dump last night. Beef Bowl and I tried to connect on AE, but it was doing the exact same bull you describe in your post.
Then I jumped on HF - GREAT competition last night. Couldn’t rank up at all, though, because anyone ranked higher than me dropped immediately after a loss. Mildly frustrating, but the games themselves were an absolute blast to play.
good games last night dude…we didnt have a bad connection for usa -> uk, pretty amazing for HF.

Whatever you do don’t switch to DSL for playing on live. I’ve tried both, and cable is far superior as long as you have a decent package.

I’ve got a good package. It’s 10mb down / 1mb up, and when i do speed tests it’s more like 8mb down / 500k up. So, speed isn’t the problem. But I’ve been having a terrible amount of fluctuation in ping times and a lot of dropped packets.
I guess I’ll just try to keep working with the cable people to figure out what’s wrong

EDIT: dsp lost badly to dekor scrub and while it IS online there didn’t appear to be a staggering amount of lag affecting gameplay the youtube vids just show dekor beating dsp by playing better and since dsp suggested the MM in the first place it’s kind of a bitch move for him to not payup even if it was a joke on a game he doesn’t know how to play well.
Dekor please stop ruining the thread just leave SRK for all our sakes god knows we have enough of u ppl.

For sure man! Hopefully they’ll fix all the XBL problems soon. And I’m *really *hoping that ST:HD has a more GGPO-like online experience. It’d be great to be able to play good players without all the lag nonsense.
When I was on the other night, most of the rooms seemed like ghost rooms. Like, there was a list of 10 rooms that all said they had one person, but it didn’t really exist. I was able to join a couple of rooms tho.
Am I the only one having hell of trouble with HF and anniversary collection??

Haven’t played in a couple weeks, got back on today and you guys are right, the lag is even worse! It’s to the point where I can’t for the life of me jump straight up over a fireball or block low when a guy whiffs a jump in and goes for immediate sweep with Ken. Not worth playing on, really.
