Unless you’re a Doll. Then you get an execution order on yourself the minute you start developing a self-conscience and you have to sleep in boxes while the rest of Shadaloo gets to hang out at Shadaloo Youth sports centers and play videogames :wtf:
Sorry, that’s just how I roll. So do lots of netfolk. Not changing. Thought everyone was used to it by now? That’s how I know the characters as, that’s who they are to me. Even when I read the comic I usually will swap out the name Master Bison in my mind with Vega. I always try to denote it with (Cape) and (ninja) etc. somewhere in my posts. Whenever you see my posts, just insert “using Japanese names” in their or something, sorry… My SF2 fandom began by watching the SF2 Animated movie in Japanese subbed, so that’s why. Ken yelling “VEGAAAAAA!” had that kind of long lasting effect on me… sorry again.
TiamatRoar - Yeah, Dolls get the shaft…
Gen vs. Gouki - On paper giving things that Gouki was done like sink islands what have you, yes, I agree it would seem like he has the upper hand. But SF is like that. Pretty much everyone catches a beat down here and there. Gill can create fire and ice and here he is losing to Alex(who he probably let win, but still). If you just take what’s in the game’s endings and that’s it and remove all of the crazy stuff Gouki has done you’ll see it as Gen winning because at the end of the day, there’s just no evidence to support Gouki winning other than conjecture since he doesn’t do it in his ending, while Gen does. Both theries are conjecture, of course since not every game ending happens. But Studio Udon’s going with the conjecture of Gen winning, and apparently him dying of Lukemia. So yay for SF1/SFZ fans as one of those characters pawns an SF2 character ha ha ha!
Seems like Capcom doesn’t want to flat out say what happened to not piss off Gouki fanboys and say he lost, or just leave it open so you can think either/or.
Maybe when the Raw Issue comes out today they’ll talk about the Gouki/Gen ordeal. Maybe…
Thanks for pointing that out, I meant to say her first appearance in SFII
Funny how u mention that Y2Dane, I just read the RAW today and guess what alvin & ken wrote:
Then Ken said: (spoiler Alert!) Highlight
Even if this is a joke i’ll take that quote in interest.(hoping for ingrid appearance)
But on another note, did anyone else notice that this was the exact chinese gang(including leader) that Feilong faced in the last arc?
I thought that was the gang Fei Long fought, but didn’t that one guy get his head chopped off?
I look forward to Akuma beating Gen next issue.
and yeah, I think things are dragging on a bit too much lately, not much happens in each issue, it’s like Marvel with their made for TPB story arcs
True, but in the raw, it said that character is an inside joke to point out that comic characters never die.
Fanboy theory: After his “punishment” the hong Kong dolls pached him up for a second chance in the Hk Shadaloo base raid . Thats y u see him(techincally the long hair guy) in the Hk Battle royal splash page at the end of the Hong Kong arc.
Can anyone post some scans or art from the comic?
Um… I don’t think thats allowed.:wtf:
You gonna have to read the back issues or SF vol.2
Sammuraiblade… would you mind posting some other comments from the RAw please???
No can do my friend, anymore and i might get in trouble by Udoneko and get banned from the forum.
But i will say that in the raw, Alvin says he likes to draw larger than life characters And there is a movie reference in the Bar scene. Buy the raw to know which one:tup:
That’s cool, I understand. I would buy the RAW if my comic shop had it though.
Heh, a joke on comic book characters never dying? Keen. I always thought the head chopped guy constantly returning was a homage to generics constantly coming back for more in Final Fight games
*needs to find a shop selling the RAW". Rawr!
Yeah comics are like that, people never die. Robin #2 Jason Todd is alive, Captain America’s sidekick Bucky is alive, and in Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man this week, someone who’s been dead since Stan Lee and Steve Ditko’s original run is back for christs sake… pretty stupid ressurection there… Maybe Superboy Prime breaking through realities effected the Udon verse slightly and brought that Honk Kong Thug back to life along with Jason Todd lol! Dr. Strange in the Dead Girl series explained how dead people come back in Marvel, said that some people have a strong will to return and they do… comics are nuts.
Nice Raw ish BTW. I’m glad they talked more about the storyline changes to the games like the first Raw.

I totally agree with you man and I swear it seems Marvel has gotten the worst with this, especially over the past few years. I remember back in the day where things like that rarely happened, and if it did there was actually a good explanation for it and it left you like wow…they’re not dead. It was original, but now its just ridiculous and has become a cliche that you can expect to be reused for what they “think” will be interesting plots over and over and over and over and…you get the point. Now it was just be original for someone to actually STAY dead. Over the past few years Marvel has killed of numerous people and have brought them back again as if that’s suposed to be impressive. They kill me with this. What’s the point of killing off some many major characters if all you’re going to do is bring them back anyway just for some half-baked plot? A major characters death should be heart-felt, emotional and then they should STAY that way. Haha, it’d be nice to see them try that for a change. But Udon’s joke was pretty slick.
sigh atleast I don’t have to worry about Gouken coming back. :karate: PEACE!!
yeah, i thought gibson was secretly juni too. if she isn’t then it makes juni’s appearance in this issue completely pointless as she doesn’t do anything of worthwhile.
I wonder if they went that route because it’s what’s hinted at in the Plot Guide???
I dont mind them using the guide as it’s filled with lot’s of good info, but I will be highly irritated if Guile or Chun-Li beat Bison. The guide is always pushing those 2 as the most likely winners, yet I still fail to see why it has to be them or more importantly, how they manage to all of the sudden get powerful enough to take out Bison.
The thought of Guile beating Bison makes me want to jump rope with my own intestines.
Heh, and here I thought it might have been my own ego that thought of the possibility of the thing being influenced by the guide, but I guess I’m not the only one. Still, I find it rather doubtful that the guide could possibly have any more than a small marginal influence and even then, only for certain things given how different the comic is from both in-game storylines and the guide.
I wonder how they’ll resolve Guile’s plotline in a way similar to his SF2 ending if he’s not the one that beat Bison, but then again, the comic’s already deviated tons from actual in-game events, anyways. First of all they’d have to really emphasize Guile as being consummed by vengeance.
It might just end up being more like the SFA3 finale with multiple people vs Bison, anyways (you know, the one that the supposed Alpha part of the comic didn’t have?)
Well it looks like Guile’s already mellowing a bit in the comic, and with Bison being STRONGER it just doesnt make sense. It would have to be like Tiamat said for it to make some sense. The dolls revolt and Bison gets gang bashed by everyone!
then Akuma comes in does a raging demon and kills M.Bison
edit: After fight multiple opponents he might be too weak to dodge the attack.
Using American names this once…
The SF2 Tournament winner in the comic -
Master Bison is surrounded by all of the SF2 combatants minus the other 3 lords of Shadaloo. They are all fighting against him, he takes them all out with a massive SFA3 style Psycho Crusher! This creates a huge clowd of smoke. He laughs like a madman and then suddenly a fist from the huge cloud of smoke (and we can’t see exactly who is punching him) hits Master Bison in the gut. A massive surge of ki goes threw his body, blood starts flying out everywhere, he falls down losing.
The cloud of smoke dissapears. Master Bison stands up. He says, “No! How can I be defeated! I can’t believe you won the Street Fighter II Tournament! And the winner is…” Suddenly Akuma performs the Shun Goku Satsu on him and kills him.
