Yeah.
Now I have to run out and get an X-Box.
Yeah.
Now I have to run out and get an X-Box.
your killing me here dude, PS2 version comes out before Xbox version so PS2 get some love 1st before xbox does. But its peoples choice if they want to spit out $230 for 1 game and 1 console:cool:
How did you figured $230? For a console and one game? Xbox is just 149.99 and a game is anywhere from 20 to 50. I wouldnt go to your store to buy me a console if you worked in one.
True, I was going to say the same thing. Maybe he’s talking about the other stuff added with the X-Box acc. wise.
It could be something extra but he just said 1 console and 1 game. Plus if the game has a 2 month free live card he shouldnt need to worry about something extra. So thats why i still dont see it going anywhere 230, maybe 210 or around there after tax if the game that he buys is 49.99.
I dont own a store and I probably never will too. Xbox is $149.99, but with tax, about $160.00. The game will go for about $29.99, but with tax about $33.00. Tax rate over here is 8.1% and yea its pretty high up there. then you gotta get a memory card which is about $24.99 with tax, about 26.00. and in case, a DVD remote which is about $20.00 or a PS2 adaptor cord and also another xbox controller and there ya go. $230 should be alright if your just going for the game with the console with the memory card and another controller too.
Hahaha memory card, that’s fucking priceless.
LMAO that is priceless.
You dont really need a memory card since, everything is stored in the Hard Drive. Is not like the PS2 were you need a memory card, is not an option not to buy it, you have to buy it in order to save.
The limited edition Halo Xbox is only 169.99 and it comes with a game so your still under 200. But damn man im glad i dont leave where your at. 3 dollars tax for a 29.99 game wtf.
Just think of the memory card as a backup disk incase your harddrive crash, then you wont have to work for your games anymore. And tax isnt the worse part of living in colorado, its also the house rent that will get to ya:mad:
Lag is not really a function of hardware speed. Todays consoles are more than powerful enough to handle anything a network can throw at them (which essentially just boils down to a very simple collection of bits representing “up, left, jab, roundhouse”)
Lag is a function of distance in the network, and eliminating it is a physical impossibility no matter how hard you try.
I gotta laugh when I see this.
In the UK we have 17.5% tax on all items, so a $55 game (like all the new ones) will have over $9 tax…
Thats why i live here and you live over there.
Skyler…
Nobody’s spendin $230 for an Xbox and the game… cause once again the same thing can be done with PS2 JUST to have it do what Xbox has out the box.
$150 gets you a PS2 with a internet adaptor (these have not been available since October 26,2000);
$100 for the PS2 hardrive which less than 7 PS2 games will support
$25 for the memory card in case the hardrive crashes (and even memory cards fuck up, but then what are gonna do about that!
For the record, any documented problems Xbox has is with the DVD drive and hardly the harddrive, like you would want…)
$30 for a multitap (since you WILL need one for games like Isuka)
That equals $305 BEFORE TAX, and no games , PS2 DVD remote, or even an extra controller, but hey, Xbox has a hardrive, 4 control ports, and ethernet OUT the box.
Say what you will, but the online multiplayer really has a lot of people excited, and your arguments regarding lag is disregarding one thing: it will always exist, even when our PCs have Pentiums 7, and 10 gigs are in our cell phones… it all comes to the connections. I promise you the next generation will have lag as well… like Richard says…
Skyler…
dude, I never compare the PS2 cost with the xbox cost. I just mention what the price would be for anybody getting an xbox for SFAnniversary collection. Its the same with the PS2 and you should know that by know too. PS2 by iteself is $150.00, memory card is $24.00, SFAE is $29.00, and another controller is $24.00. All total coming close to or over $230. An xbox is the samething for i would have to get a memory card just in case xbox harddrive crash and then atleast you gotta a backup disk. Here since Im mentioning the PS2 and Xbox, then let me go ahead and mention the Gamecube price. Gamecube by itself is $99.99, memory card is $14.99, and another controller is $24.99 and if your getting the new Legend of zelda game, then add another $49.99 which comes up to about $200.00 What took you so long just to figure this kind things out?? your killing me here and you just answer your own discussion about the lag issue except your still missing one more thing, but its not important.
Skyler…
I think this is getting way off topic. Nobody needs one of these because nobody uses games consoles for watching movies. Another red herring. All consoles are shit for movies so they aren’t worth bothering with.
You can get real budget standalone DVD players for about $30 nowadays (actrually, I’ve seen a promotion where you send in tokens from packs of Frosties).
The Xbox is actually quite a good DVD player. For $20 bucks it sure as hell better then a standalone, double or even fucking triple its price.
Would you just fucking stop with this system wars shit?! Why don’t ya’ll argue bout something interesting like who’s gonna be top tier on Live or something else instead of this system wars bitchin.:bluu:
HURRAY!
I can’t wait for EX mode & chain combos up the butt
^^^
That’s already available on CVS2 EO son. Might wanna pick it up you’re missing out on the chain combo action!
I was being sarcastic:rolleyes:
one of the reasons why I dropped that game was because of the EO & EX bullshit mang…
lol I just hop Capcom doens’t screw third strike the same way…
u could just play 3s at the arcade … =P
