Street Fighter goes LIVE

:lame:

I was under the impression that only Hyper SFII would have the LIVE support.

But i could be wrong.

Edit: Nope double checked my sources. Good thing i own an xbox.

Yeah if you had an arcade that had 3s… :frowning:

The fact that its online for the XBOX still pisses me off. After spending so much time getting my PS2 online, now I have to worry about getting an XBOX. I might as well skip it though. As much as I LOVE 3s, I cant warrant buying the system, another stick, and XB Live just for one game I want. =P

Shame on you, Capcom. We dont care if you push the PS2 release back, we just want online play.
:lame:

or in his case having 3 different locations with it…hes jus laaaazy

If capcom really do care about the fans, then they would’ve release Street Fighter Anniversary collection with an online mode for the PS2 too, but they dont care at all about the fans. its all about the benjamins. Just look at what they did to the Resident Evil series. The RE series gotten famous off the PS1 and capcom thinks that they will make more money going to the gamecube.

Me: “So mikami, hows the RE series doing so far on gamecube??”

Shinji Mikami: “Well…I…you know…ack I cant comment on that right now, why dont you wait til RE4 comes out and well talking again okay”

Thats why you know now that capcom isnt even close to being Top 5 company in the world anymore. They were top 3 last time, but that was in year 2000. Everything change, capcom went its own way, lost profit, gave up, and decided to work less, get more money:eek:

Sports games have like 20% of the US market, yet EA chose not to pursure their own online network. I don’t know what possessed you to get PS2 online play unless you were playing rpgs or something.

Most people that ‘say’ they are capcom fans are buying rpgs and shit for ps2 and wondering why capcom just doesn’t happen to suit them, despite the fact that ps2 isn’t the best system for online play (and not nessecarily the best for games in general).

Considering that back in the day ppl were buying superguns and cabs cause thats all there was, snes’s and psx’s then saturns and then whatever else. Kids now are too used to just burn and play, i would hope that real capcom fans have a little more perspective on the situation.

What I am wondering is if there will be much less lag on SF2 AE than CVS2 had on Xbox? SVGL won’t get the game (old school haters probably) damn it.

I have no lag what so ever on xbox live my connection is too dam good ya should look me up Alucard.

oh yeah u ps2 lovers stop the B*ing already get a xbox if not dont get crap but dont be blaming capcom for not making there games on a pieca S system the ps2 im talking about hahaha anyway its over for the ps2 thats it and that killzone…aint gonna beat halo sorry ps2 got nothing on xbox baby NOTHING maybe certin games like dmc3,gt4,t5 but i think they killin the tekken lol another tomb raider omg be careful namco, the new berserk, and well thats all mostly like the person was saying above me ps2 is for rpg’s and it barely does that any good anyway ps2 sux other systems rule!!!.

fanbois sux. I like the ps2, most the games I own are for the ps2, but the online setup is a sad joke. Gonna grab the jap ps2 SF3:3s first for some practice then AE on xbox live later

Why Is This A Sticky?

For online play, get an Xbox… Sony’s online plans have nothing on Xbox, and when Sony does make a centralized hub akin to Live, what happens to the games they released before it?

does anyone remember those people who said this will never happen:cool: its good to see capcom isn’t retarded after all.

Are you kidding?

getting an xbox just for thoses fighting games.

For those complaining that Street Fighter Anniversary Edition should go online for PS2, you should be happy that the PS2 is even getting the game at all. It still takes effort to port a title, GameCube gamers are left out of this one (no doubt because of the GameCube’s anti-SF controller), and the PS2 library is blessed with a ridiculous number of good fighters to keep fighting game fans happy for a loooooong time.

With that said, my Dreamcast broke down a while back so I’ve been going for a while without my 3rd Strike fix. But right now I’m tilting more towards getting another Dreamcast than buying the PS2/Xbox version of Anniversary Edition. Too many Dreamcast games I miss. :frowning:

im goin to just get the ps2 version then the xbox version when it comes out online

According to the Capcom USA site, it says that SFAC for Xbox is scheduled for a “winter” release now.

Pretty terrible if it’s true. If it’s just plain online with no XBL 3.0 features and no colour edit mode, then I can say that the wait is just too damn long for this.

Thats true. Last I heard there was gonna be a Gallery mode with various artwork and Soundtracks. But I hope Capcom takes advantage of XBL 3.0.
