I doubt there’s much time spent into bringing these games to PS2, the framework is probably still there from CvS2/MvC2 so just replace it with 3s stuff. AE was already made. You can say it’s being lazy to not add crazy extras in, but IMO just bringing it to ps2 is more work than they needed to do.
As far as online gaming, does it matter anymore that ps2 is online, sure it sold a billion units or whatever, but how many people are online? the only two things were FF and EA sports, and EA is moving over to xbox.
I guess to some people the only ‘gamers’ are anime watching, rpg playing teens, but for me fighting games are 90% of why i would own a console (the other 10 being sports), and it was just a matter of who had the better online support. Its ridiculous IMO for us to expect capcom and everyone else to build network code into their games and make the servers and make sure it all runs while having the game on a machine thats not even theirs, so a few weeks later sony can announce some new dvd player with controllers that isn’t backwards compatible.
I’m sorry but, Resident Evil Outbreak = DA SUCK. Takes the fun out of the game if you’re playing it with multiple people. Especially if you can’t talk to them either (and even if you could then people would just cheat their way through the game and ruin the experience). RE is 1 fucking player damn it.
Everything else you listed is great but, I didn’t buy a PS2 just so I could fuck around with people in an online game I can’t even communicate with them in.

How many copies did Prince of Persia 1 sold before you should even mention 2? StarCraft ghost is a wanna be Metal Gear alright. Zone of the ender 2 is better than mech 2. Doom 3, Halo 2, and Far Cry are better play on PC for we have better reaction and aiming time than the xbox anyday. For crying out loud most of the games you mention are horrible and isnt even top notch so before you bash PS2 line up this year, look at whose producing the games ok. Some of the games i mention are actually worth buying out on the 1st day, while the ones you mention isnt even worth renting or looking at. You hype MGS3 so much. I don’t know why. Halo 2 has more hype then all of your games combined. :rolleyes: Have fun playing games offline. Most of my offline games are collecting dust.

I dont need to experience live when i already experience something higher than live and its called the PC. Like i say, all first person shooter games are better play on a PC with a mouse and keyboard, not a controller(it goes the same for fighting games on arcade sticks than controller). Its true that i dont like SVC:Chaos as much as you for i got many reasons as the next guy have. You say the PS2 suck when you even havent touch some of the masterpiece games there were made for the PS2. MGS3 is being develope by one of the best director too and you dont even notice that. I like Halo 2 and Far Cry, but those games are better off on the PC, unless you covenant never experience the PC world of gaming before? And because the screen resolution is 4 times higher, which you really need when you’re aiming at somebody’s head whos far away (because there head is one pixel on a monitor, but invisible on a TV)
I don’t agree that xbox has a good game library but one thing I can vouche for is the live service. The live service makes up for alot of things and the fact that more games are becoming live compatible it just makes the xbox shine alot more than the ps2 right now. I don’t support any system in particular but I do enjoy xbox’s live service very much.

Well I think a big part of all this is that people chose the PS2 as their console of choice for 2D fighters after the Dreamcast “died”. It sucks for those people that now things have turned around, and the Xbox is where its at for 2D fighters (at least it will be by the end of the year). It’s pretty expensive to have to invest in a new console.
You obviously are talking out of your ass. I play PC games all the time. I’m CAL M on Counter-Strike and I can vouch that CS is way better on the PC but some of the FPS games on the Xbox aren’t. Halo on PC sucks balls, it’s buggy as hell and that’s just one reason CPL was scepticle about even putting it in CPL. None of the games you listed get me excited at all. Name a game on a console that is or will be better than Doom 3, Splinter Cell 3, Halo 2, Fable, ect ect. I can’t think of one?

All but a couple of those games are online and lets not forget that PS2 sucks hardcore online. DC was way better than this trash. GG Reload is better than Isuka and Xbox is getting it. We get CFJ as well and it will look a lot better. Oh lookie we get MK Deception and Silent Hill 4 as well. They’ll look, sound and feel better also. Forza Motorsport is way better than GT4. Maybe you should go take a look at the E3 2004 awards. Xbox swept almost everything, PC took a few titles. Also don’t forget we get online and can actually talk to the people on the other end. Anyways I know it’s opinion. Whatever floats your boat.
