EX2+ is broken as fuck but EX2 is a different story.
That same stuff can be pulled off in EX2 but itās harder since you canāt mash a C.FP or whore out jabs during excel.

Does the evo event have like some side exhibition matches that includes the ex series. If they got the halo thing going even though its not a fighting game why not have the ex series going next year I would show up for these and also third strike.
Halo was run by a sponsor of theirs of sorts named MLG. So AFAIK, there is no side EX tourny running.
Obviously Iām just being an ass, but, to be fair, Evil Ryu and Goukiās teleports are sidesteps of sorts(at least in EX+@). So EX has some minimal 3D aspect beyond the graphics. But thatās not say that I think even for one millisecond that 1/2 Man 1/2 Dumbshit had this in mind when he was running his mouth earlier in the thread. Still, someone who, time and time again, proves to be capable of such epic levels of idiocy canāt be all bad. We all need to laugh sometimes.
Yea, as Iāve said eariler in the thread, there may be a few rare cases of actual 3d aspects (teleports in the first EX series, and random camera turns), thats been changed from EX2+ to current EX3. Where all intentional plane turning has been erased, and all thats left is the accidently/random plane turns that may occur once every 100 matches or so (though it happens a tad more often in dramatic mode since theres so many characters on the screen).

I may decide to try and hold one at a church (am friends with the pastor, and they have a large āfellowship hallā). But Iād need to organize it and get funds for prize winnings and whatnot.
Other than that, Iāve heard of periodic SFEX2+ tournaments in fresno, but havenāt heard anything of it lately so Iām not sure whats up with it.

I have a question about the guard:
The use of any normal in close range to a opponent while not hitting them throws you into guard unless you cancel with a special or already in the animations of a normal.
So for example, ryu jumps in on ken with a HK. Unless ken already has comitted to the shoryuken or C.FP he will block. So itās a type of absloute guard.
But at the same time after blocking the first two hits of chun liās QCF+QCF+K, you can cancel the guard into a shoryuken or even a grabā¦which would not make the guard absloute.
At the same time the computer is able to move when I throw out random whiffs.
Itās been some time since Iāve played this but the most interesting thing about EX (the entier series) has been the guard properties.
Does it have anything about the guard in that book you have shinji and do you know where I can buy it?

I believe youāre describing the proximity guard, where if the attacker is a certain distance away if you press back (whether you want to walk back or block) youāll block.
For the book, I canāt really tell since its all in kanji. Witha few numeric numbers.
Proximity guard for the EX series is further than most other SFās. Also, the computer is unaffected by proximity guard. So you can whiff an attack at it and it can still walk backward. Also, block animation is not the same as actually blocking.
Blockstun in EX is also very, very short, especially with regards to multi-hit moves. It isnāt so much as cancelling the guard as it is not being in blockstun anymore. So, its quite possible to SPD Ken out of his super, or get hit if you let go of the stick.
