Street fighter EX thread(EX, EX+, Ex+@, EX2, EX2+, EX3)

Shotos own the EX series!..
Period!

pending on which game :stuck_out_tongue:

It actually doesnt matter in which game, Shotos(Ryu,Ken,Allen,Kairi,Akuma,) are the most consistent of all the EX cast. They’re especially good in the series with no Excels(EX,and EX3) since you cant bait DP.
Although Allen, Kairi, arent as consistent they still hold their own against the majority of the cast.
Sakura’s ok, and Sagat is tops in all of them.

(snort) whatever

lol, I usually dont reply to ignorance, but I’ll go with this one. If you disagree with what I say then validate your point!! Your “whatever” means nothing to me so unless you can either disagree, or disagree or play me and “TRY” to prove me otherwise!!..
If not dont waste my time!

Yeah I’d agree with that statement. Shotos did not need excels to win nor were they changed drastically from game to game except Kairi who you had to learn again and again.

Even with that said, in EX2 and 2+ at least they were mid- mid tier to low top at best.

Can’t compete with rosso or with sharon.

Go Rosso, he’s my man lol

Thats no exactly true, as far as EX3 goes:

Kairi and Evil Ryu are god tier.

Normal Ryu top.

Sagat and Ken are lower middle tier at best.

Sakura is bottom tier, but not as bad as say Vega.

If anyone wants more in depth explanations I’ll explain why, but I’m too lazy too make a page long post right now.

I live near porto… i don’t know… if i have the time i’ll show up in lisbon…
as far as ryu, he isn’t bad but he isn’t very good either… he’s between that

That goes without saying. lol

Ken was always mt shoto of choice though.

If you have the time…? well… its not everyday that we have fighting game tournaments in Portugal and from my point of view every fighter who really enjoys fighting games will not miss a chance to be on any tournament placed in mainland (even if I live away from mainland that will not stop me from setup another tournament) well… this is just my point of view…
I remember that I told you months before the 2004 tournament all the details about the EFT 2004 but you never show up… :xeye:

Why you keep talking about Ryu not bad and not good…? what game(s) are you talking about? —> SFA2? SSF2T? if you want to show your point of view than theres nothing better than playing against each other, dont you think? this way you can show to me and everyone on the tournament your point of view, anyone can talk about “character X is good or bad or suck, etc…” but playing and showing is something diferent… so I hope I can meet you on the EFT 2005 :karate:

Please try to get some free time on Summer of 2005 (at least just one very single day --> I will have the dates, place, etc… later with all the details) everyone that was on the EFT 2004 really enjoyed and Im sure 2005 will be even better because the staff will be bigger.

btw: do you know the the character(s) who placed in the first places in Hyper SF2AE and SF Alpha 2? Im sure you know… if not then take a wild guess

Since we are from the same country: I hope to hear from you because Im willing that we can play a few fights on the EFT, take care

Idiot, this is a SFEX thread. Not an A2, CvS2, SF3, ST or whatever. Just EX. Now realize that within the contents of this thread, all talk is about EX. Can you comprehend that?

My last comment on the shotokan topic:
“Shotos are only as good as you make them to be” Their peak performance depends on the players peak performance!!!
Not everyone understands or can play shotos correctly, only an exceptional few. Yeah shotos have their good and bad matches in every game(talking outside of EX as well) but they could “NEVER” suck or be “LOW” Tier status, mid to top but never low or high low.
I play shotos hardcore in EX because they have good footsies, good zoning, and of course DP is always the factor, and I can always bait people into jumping then taking their life with a DP or whatever. Plus their rushdown is tight!!!
GGPO!!

And yet I have yet to see any of your matches.

Did I called you idiot? or jackass? or anything like that? no I didnt, so you dont need to act like “jackass” (or if you want keep like that because I couldnt care less)
I was talking with him about showing up on the next EFT and on his same reply there was the comment about “Ryu”, thats why I was asking him if the game(s) in question were the games that he plays or not. (from what I know hes a SF or Alpha player… I think, thats why I was asking about the games in question)
"Can you comprehend that?"
See? Easy explanation without trash talk --> “no flames needed…” wait… I see that this is not possible because this is srk.com

First of all, any talking about EFT with Ryu, could easily be done via PMs. And since this isn’t a EFT topic, you should take anything that deals with that to the PMs.

2ndly, this is a SFEX topic. Thus logically, anything said in here would -gasp- be with the SFEX series.

3rdly, your an idiot because you fail to realize points 1 and 2. So in summary, either talk SFEX in this topic, or go else where.

Master Akuma giving advice/opinions about fighting game strategy?

To Jeron, I can appreciate your love for shotos, but if you have an equally skilled Ken player and an equally skilled Rosso player, Ken is not going to win.

And giving advice about matches and that one should goto tournaments.

I never played EX3 should I buy it ?

If you have people to play against, then yes. As its 1 player mode is rather limited. Though if you expect to eventually face people in that game, then that would offset is 1 player limitations.

So in summary:

If you have people to play against, or expect to someday have some then get it.

If you don’t have people to play against and don’t expect to ever get any, then probably not.
