So I’ve been trying to get a psx2 running with ex3. I’t terrible compared to the console. Well, it’ might be my pc and setup, but I’m considering just picking up an old ps2 instead. Should I keep trying to mess with the psx2 settings, or just go and buy a ps2 already?
I never got it to run well on my PC. Though my setup is AMD based which isn’t as good as intel for the PS2 emulation. So try an intel setup if you haven’t already done so. If you do have an intel then try messing with the settings but EX3 was never on the forefront of the pcsx2 priorities for game optimization. FFX and FFX-2 and FFXII were. You’d think that a launch title for the PS2 wouldn’t be so taxing especially a CD based game (though I realize that has no effect on how it handles the game). But best bet may be to just buy a PS2 console.
Cheers for the insight, I thought I was missing something. I might as well save myself the headache and get the ps2. Ex3 was the only game I played again and again. All the ff’s get one play through max. Except for ff anoraks of course. So maybe I’m an ex anorak! It just feels like there’s some things they missed when making the sf4s. Anyways! Has anyone had experience with the vga boxes to a monitor?

Any idea what the ‘Extra’ mode is for the arcade version of EX 2+? Here is a link to a video I found on G.X’s channel, first match the guy picks Extra Dhalsim via random select. http://www25.online-convert.com/download-file/b3ccd9cc08cc9ce5a4fe2741f1c184b0/converted-4f7075c6.mp4
Extra Mode is just version of Random select that changes characters after each match.
If you’re playing arcade hold your player start button on the random select to get the “extra” random select.
PSX, I’m not sure, either start or select.

Any chance of someone bringing the Arcade board for NEC?
not me, I’ve got a funeral service that weekend. And I heard Art’s board got damaged (or was it Min’s? I’m not sure).
Recent EX2+ matches from A-Cho.
I believe it was arts.
Anyone up for some online ?
Can it be done in EPSXE or do I need the arcade versions?
EPSXE can be done, but there are differences from both systems as far as game changes go. Garuda’s Shuuga loop while in Excel got adjusted to where it does less damage, compared to the arcade version which does a severe amount of damage. On a side note, I wonder what other changes were made outside of 1 extra character added to the Playstation port (and stage animations getting nerfed, but that’s not important.)
I prefer arcade version online honestly. The question is whether both player’s computer can handle it (most of the people I talk to usually can’t for some odd reason, and my computer is based around running games great 06’ era [can run SFIV well], in other words, out-of-date.)
Mame Plus! Plus! 132 might be a good start unless there is another consistent version I’m unaware of. Version 142 ( or a version around this time) and up seems to take up more cpu usage and actually is slow.
Oh cool, thanks. I was just wondering about EX online too.
Went ahead and made a Steam group for SFEX2+ in case we want to play games online or discuss stuff. It’s hard to find matches ;-;.
just joined the group. hopefully we can run some matches soon?
Friends finally got cap card Will add the old digicam stuff that I forgot to up later on
