The Street Fighter EX series is like an underdog.
EX3 has some AMAZING music.
I think it had good standards for its time.
Of course this is no SF4.

SF4 has high music values yeah but I suggest giving cvs1, any good sf2 theme cover, and 3s music a listen.
Ex3 looks so amazing for offensive type play. I found a match of Joker vs his friend (gen or whatevr his name is) and it looked so mvc like. Ridiculous.
Its “Jester” not joker lol. But yes in the hands of someone good with EX3, the game can get really exciting.
The EX3 soundtrack is a compilation of mostly EX1 songs, with a few EX2 songs thrown in and some EX3 originals. Basically saying if you like the EX3 soundtrack, you’ll like the EX1 soundtrack, and possibly the EX2 one.
Oh, I had no idea they all shared the same soundtrack. I started with EX3 in the EX series.

They generally just remixed the songs from SFEX1 over and over again. But the new characters got new BGMs.
Any char that had their own stage theme in an older game reuses it in EX3. Except for Garuda who simply has to have a new version of Stronger in each game, Boss Bison(obv), and oddly enough Darun. =/
(part of the reason why Darun didn’t get Heat Wave could be that he shared Bison’s theme in SFEX, then Heat Wave with Sim in +a…)
If you look at the OSTs for each of the games they have remixes for a lot of the songs. Whether or not they’re actually used. Like they had “spinning bird” chun lis theme in the original EX2 OST, even though I don’t believe they had that theme in the game. That of course was just another remix of the original one.
This is such a good song. Makes me wanna play EX3 now.

basically type in your favorite ARIKA game.
They put some of the remixed themes on the EX2 OST because they never released OSTs for the Plus games that ended up on the PSX. I remember having to rip the audio straight from the disc way back in the day to get the tracks because of this. Less to do with in-game continuity and more to do with “welp we’re not gonna release these tracks”.
Hey guys just wanted to ask hows the EX scene? I just bought a copy of EX3 wich I have only played about 1 time before. I love EX+A and EX2,so I thought I would try it. It seems much faster and the tag mode is kinda cool,and the music is great. Anyway I wanna get into this game series more,I am currently a SSFAE/GGXXAC/3S Tournament player. Are you guys hyped about Arika’s 3DS game Fighting Sample?
If Fighting Sample is basically like a 1-on-1 SFEX3 just without the Capcom characters, then I’ll definitely buy it. Not too hyped about it playing it on a portable system and would much rather it be released on PSN, but it is what it is.
