Sort of, they removed her moving upload move (while standing PPP and hold it so it moves forward), but she can jump in the air and do it but it stays in place.
They also modified her counter move. In EX2P it was used to reflect fireballs in EX3 she absorbs them and can now fire fireballs back at the opponent, even in the air.
Only difference that I know of is besides the name changes, you also get kanji text endings for the characters. But nothing gameplay wise to my knowledge.
Good stuff; speaking of which ShadowAce wanted me to bring my Rival Schools 2 and DC down to FR this year so Iāll have that too if you want to play. Weāll see how rusty my Zaki, Akira, Hinata and Yurika areā¦
I still want to get your Guile though with my Hokuto. I practiced the match up after FR and realized a simple tool I was neglecting the entire time in that matchā¦now I can be more aggressive.
Whhhhhhhy D:
Why are you doing this to me; I thought we were coolā¦I hate fighting Gief. =[
This may sounds strange to be honest i donāt even like heavy projectile zoning like guile or Lambda (blazblue). I cant handle heavy projectiles. Though they are somewhat in my line of game play, i think zoning with projectiles is still aggressive play but from a distant.
I donāt find much use for karas with my characters tbh.
Anyway I recorded some EX3 casuals; trying to get them uploaded but my wireless connection is extremely shitty. Iāll also have more recorded and EX2+ on Sunday or Monday.
Just wish I could get them up now but the router assigned to my building decided to stop working for some reason.
I was trying out Hokuto/Sharon; Hokuto/Jack; Rosso/Ken in these matches. For the moment I like them all but Hokuto/Jack seems to be my favorite. I love the compatibility Jackās charge b,f+P gives Hokuto in combos (it doesnāt knock the opponent away so I found I could combo off the hitstun as Hokuto comes in). For Hokuto, she can do the same with her elbows but I gotta work on immediately charging as he comes in. Iāve started making it a strat of mine to immediately super cancel to Bloody mode when I get the chance; I find her more versatile and more suited to my combos despite the loss of the sway moves and cancels. Her Rensho launcher is awesome for Cracker Jack as well, who I now know some pretty awesome juggles with.
Uploaded the EX2+ matches from today on my account. I would link them here but my home connection is so shitty I just donāt feel like bothering, sorry. Maybe if I can go in tomorrow and use a better connection. Thereās also Tech Romancer matches uploaded if anyone wants to see how that game work in versus.
Well most characters have something like that on tagging out.
Basically just 2 in 1 a medium normal into a special that doesnāt knockdown. Worse comes to worse you can just s.hp into surprise blow with most characters. If your quick and good you can do the medium normal into a special that doesnāt knock down into a surprise blow momentary. I personally have trouble with that last one but I never really practiced it much either. I think its mostly a corner thing anyway since you have more time in the corner til your tag partner comes in (since they have further to run from the other side of the screen).
Nice matches Tech Romancer, I was thinking that it was the Japanese version of the game when I saw āBalrogā lol
Well⦠I dunno if it is new or not but Iāve read in a Rockman page that Capcom Japan opened up suggestions for what games they should add to the PSN, and I can see Street Fighter EX Plus Alpha and EX2 Plus on this list:
Thanks IHX, actually I do own both Japanese and American versions for SFEX+@ and EX2+ so Iāve actually gotten used to the Jap names and wrote that when inputting the info.
I was telling Shinji exactly what he was saying also; I donāt see much point to me buying the PSN versions unless they have [good] online play. Its no different than my PSX discs then.
I WOULD be interested in EX2 vanilla being released so I could mess with that more outside of emulator.
SFEX2 and SFEX2p both use the same zn2 motherboard. So yes you can just go ahead and get the gameboard and swap it out with the EX2.
However any characters that youāve unlocked in EX2 will be lost when you install the EX2p board. Similarly if you were to go from EX2p to EX2 youād lose all the unlockable characters from EX2p.
So if you intend on playing both games Iād get 2 boards for it and run them seperately.
If you do intend swapping out the boards anyway though, from what I can tell it doesnāt seem to matter which region you use. AKA you can swap a USA SFEX2 board with a japanese SFEX2p board.
To go ahead and say it, unlocking characters in EX2 isnāt that bad, its based on point totals, or you can do a code in the sound test menu and unlock the characters. However EX2p characters are on time release so youād need to keep the game running for a month or so for everything to unlock.
and no, sadly I havenāt found a way to use the memory card slot on the ZN1/2 motherboard. Itās probably compatable with PS1 memory cards but youād have to wire up an adapter yourself for it. and I havenāt been able to find the pinout for that port.
