And yeah, by me in NYC Pre-ordering always means that I will get the game later than the stores actually have it, so I won’t be the first to get it, oh well all for the pad and “teh gr8 justice!”
Coming out today, anyone going to pick this up? I want to but im nervous about the controls… can anyone who has played it for a while on the normal d-pad enlighten me? Are the controls on the normal d pad never going to be tolerable or will i be able to enjoy the game with practice?
Just got mines in the mail today with a new PSP. So far without the d-pad topper I was actually able to diagonal jump and pull out special moves without problems so maybe I won’t put the topper on.
Other than that just played the reverse dramatic battle for a bit and the way they pair your opponents is kinda nice. Akuma and Gen, Yun and Fei Long, Sagat and Adon, etc.
I have the capcom d-pad and let me tell u folks. If its already hard for you to do fireball motions and uppercuts, then the d-pad isnt going to help much. It might make it so u can do it 4 out of 10 times instead of 2 out of 10. Ithought it would clip on, but it just has these little stickers on the button of it and u stick it on. You play aggressive enough its going to wear out and start sliding everywhere. My option would be to super glue it lol but thats some commitment. lol
Thats the first i have heard of the nes sleeve insert, can anyone link me to where i can get the info on installing that?
February 1st from Capcom’s website. NYC always gets stuff late with pre-orders, at least a week or two, don’t ask me why but it always works like that in my experience. Of course now that I said it outloud watch it come tomorrow so I can look like a dumb ass…
Got the box but I can’t play the game until I get home, I get all my packages delivered to my job.
The joystick is exactly like the japanese packaging, japanese text and everything with Dan’s picture, I guess they couldn’t be bothered with translating any of it, oh well good for authenticity I guess.
The pre-order comes with a demo disc of Flipnic for the PS2, too bad I already have that demo disc when I a was a member of Capcom’s short lived fanpimp site, oh well, good to give away to a co-worker.
Of course it comes with a nice big catalog of Capcom games, even talks about Okami a bit, it’s the same exact info from Capcom’s website but still pretty nice!
Couldn’t play the game yet, my last update was 2.00 and my battery’s too low to download 2.50, oh well maybe after Samurai Champloo I’ll be ready. So yeah anyone about to buy it, make sure you download 2.50 first to save some time.
I tried the pad out with Darkstalkers, didn’t have to many problems with it. But I didn’t have to many problems with the PSP’s D-Pad in the first place.
NINJA EDIT: Well It took the download with only 2 bars of power. Me playing now.
Anyone have any information on the nes sleeve replacement for Sony psp pad? Someone mentioned it earlier, seems like it be worth the time to switch it in order to play this awesome game on psp.
Anybody know how to play Ingrid? I’m trying to learn her, and have no info to go on. I’ve managed to do a few things so far.

Don’t really know her options, or even her general playstyle. Right now I’m treating her like a cross between Remy and a Shoto, but her flipkick seems too slow for me to be using it like that. I never really got into Alpha, so the game’s flow is still fairly new to me.
Edit: Nevermind. I found the CFE thread. I’ll take what info I can from there.
