Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max

Saff I hope you post your thoughts on Capcom’s dpad. :lovin:

I didn’t get in the first NCSx shipment, unfortunatly

Gonna be like 2 more days I bet

Personally, I have the obsessed idea to see a SFA3 game with all characters till now and, besides, Mike, Joe, Geki, Retsu, Lee (redesigned) AND Haggar. But that’s a dream.

I didn’t even realize my NCSX order shipped. My shipment is out for delivery to my house TODAY (Thursday 01.19.2006). I preordered about a month lookin for the dpad. When I get home from work at 5 i’ll let you know and take a picture.

God I wonder if i’ll have to upgrade firmware for this shit… I better not or i’m gonna be selling the import and playing it off the duo.

-McFly

You need to update the firmware to 2.5, Phil. :frowning:

Bullshit lol… then it looks like I’m not going to be playing A3… i’ll test the dpad cover out with virtua tennis… i hate the dpad when i’m running around and the analog is all sorts of funny.

I was thinking about getting a white psp 2.0 and rolling it back and using this black one for legit shit … hmm i wonder if i can get link play off the duo card

-McFly

You can’t use ISOs on 2.x and the ISO wont run in 1.5 so…

You’re fucked, just like me. What I’m gonna do is let SFZ3 just chill for a bit, till I’m ready to update to 2.x.

You know what would be fucking great, a fully working CPS1 and 2 emu for the PSP. Now, that would be some bad ass shit.

NeoGeo CD works pretty well on the PSP and that has a Motorolla 68000 running at 12MHz.

The CPS2 has a custom 6800 which also runs at 12MHz. The only limiting factor is the ram. If only someone could program it so the emu would use the mem card duo for the Virtual Memory (VM), kind of like on the Xbox the emus use the HDD for the VM.

OH KAY!!!

so gamepro wrote a review about this game… it started off with something like…

“the game’s a perfect arcade translation with the following tweaks…”

isn’t that in itself a contradiction?

anyways, never been a fan of alpha 3, but i do like the fact that it’s portable… keeps my dragonpunch satisfaction on the road with me…

I don’t see how anyone on the planet can like fighters and NOT like Alpha and esp Alpha 3.

Save, tell me about NGCD and how to do this

If you have 1 or 1.5 firmware Grab the NeoGeoCD emu from http://pspupdates.qj.net look under the files section. Make a folder named PSP on the mem stick (If there is not one already) then make a folder in that named Games (If there is not one already). You need to place the NeoGeo Bios in the NeoGeoCD emu folder. Also, place your ISO of NeoGeoCD games (Which you made out of real NeoGeoCD games right  ) and enjoy. I don’t have the 2 firmware PSP so I don’t know if the way I do it now will work on it.

And they actually run…well? Oh my… :pleased:

Yes, they run well. Been playing KOF98 on it and it runs smooth as a hot woman’s ass.

Joey’s not a crossover, it’s a spin off. Colin Ferguson said it best when he said, paraphrasing - “Scientists declared that the Moon was once part of Earth but then it broke off and got caught in the Earth’s rotation. So the Moon is like a spin off of the Earth. Just like Joey is a spin off from Friends. But unlike Joey the Moon has millions of viewers every night.”

Joey would be a crossover if Niles and Daphne from Frasier became regulars. And it would be a vs. if they fought every day… hell might improve ratings.

In a sense Saf is right, it’s a crossover in some ways (everyone from SF2 for example) but not a versus. For me crossover means more multiple franchises/more variation. One example that’s not a vs. would be Cannon Spike. But it’s a personal thing I guess.

Yeah, Final Fight has always been part of SF, from the very beginning.

The entire RS/SF deal is another can of worms, you can check TiamatRoar’s SF Plot Guide for more info on that, it’s the first link in my sig. Since it would really make this thread go OT to go into it… don’t listen to Snowstorm whatever you do,(big believer in SF/RS being related) she’s crazy, thinks that CD Dramas are official and Sakura hangs out with Rubyheart, oh and getting pregnant is wrong and that’s the true meaning behind RS. Um…

I didn’t know that the Saturn had 3 vs. 3, I have the Dreamcast version and that’s the only SFZ3 I have. Thanks.

This game is sounding good so far.

honestly, it’s the stupidest reason why i don’t like it…

ism…

i don’t like the groove system of cvs… i don’t like the ism system of alpha…

told you it was a stupid reason.

shit well… i was thinking about getting a 2nd psp anyway… but if new games that come out don’t run on 1.5 then wtf shouldn’t i just upgrade then… well playing megaman 1-6/ninja gaiden 1-3 on the psp is actually the one that’s preventing me

fuck… damn catch 22…

anyway 1 hour til i’m home from work then i’ll take a pic of the dpad cover and such

-McFly

The PSP version has the boss dialogues, and Endings included for the extra characters right? I am just curious of a reason to check out this game.

And I’m home

http://philmcfly.hopto.org/StreetFighterZero3DoubleUpper.jpg

check that out… this piece of shit dpad cover is so generic i’m sure some 3rd party will make it… if not a better one (come on logitech)!!

yea you have to upgrade to 2.5… fuck

-McFly

WTF, does that shit just stick on to the PSP D-pad ? is it even any good?
