Sakura was 100% easter egg in Rival Schools, they aren’t connected.
da hell
Well, in terms of the Final Fight characters, I suppose… but Final Fight has been a part of the SF universe since the beginning. I mean, its initial title was “Street Fighter '89”! It’s not like they’re thowing in random Darkstalkers or whatever just for the hell of it.
It’s a crossover then, you said it yourself.
Just because Joey is from the Freinds universe doesn’t mean his show isnt a crossover. No, in fact, it means it IS a crossover.
Anyway, how’s the Dpad whos got it? Mine doesn’t get here till like monday.
Seems like the D-pad is coming to America, eventually.
" Hello,
Thank you for contacting Capcom U.S.A., Inc.
There are plans to have the PSP D-pad cover eventually available through our online store. We unfortunately do not have a timeline when they may become available. Please continue to monitor our website for the latest product availability. We appreciate your continued support of Capcom products!
Thank you,

Thats the response I got anyways.
Cool. Now I have a backup plan just in case Play-Asia didn’t get the covers.
This is already in the Saturn version it’s pretty chill cuz you can choose 1,2 or 3 vs 1,2 or 3 characters. It’s one round elmination for each character but each new character gets a full bar of meter. Also each character gets to choose their ism so you can have a team of V gouki, A gen, and X Honda or somethin…
Well according to NCSX’s information EVERY first print copy has the dpad cover.
Yeah, seems to be true. I just picked the game up a few minutes ago at my local shop (I’m in Japan), and it had the d-pad cover attached to the front of the case; looked like every copy the store had was like that. Can’t play it until after work though…one hour left!
I’m interested in seeing how the cover feels on the PSP, but I had no problems with Darkstalkers Chronicle and Guilty Gear XX #Reload’s controls. More interested in finding out the game’s load times…hope they’re quick this time around.
LOL at Friends Universe.
I forgot, is it possible to play Japanese UMD’s on an American PSP? I was about to order it but i cant rememebr if they are region coded or not.
From what I’ve gathered, UMD’s are region encoded.
Games have no region coding, movies do. It’s weird but it’s true.
Lyte? Report?
And yeah, every first copy shipped has it (but there are only going to be 1,000 games in the first run)
So far, so good. :lovin: Before I get into impressions, it’s worth noting that this game has a “Capcom USA” copyright when you boot it up.
The port is the same quality as Darkstalkers Chronicle, but the load times have been drastically reduced; it seems to depend on the mode you choose, but the game basically begins to load during the pre match-up screen, and starting from there, load times are anywhere from 1-6 seconds total; most of the time it’s about 2-3 seconds. No one is going to be complaining about the load times this time around.
Since I didn’t have any problem with Darkstalkers’ control, I can’t really comment on the d-pad input. I’ve been playing without the d-pad covering, and have not had any issues with the control; no problem doing 360s, no problem doing supers of any kind, etc. I picked Cammy when I loaded it up for the first time, and had got her “Maximum Spider” level 3 super off with ease. Regarding control options, you can set select to be different super inputs or two buttons together, set command input to normal, long, and arcade, and set the special move input type to easy (yuck!). *** It should be noted that just like the GBA port, control type is set to easy by default. Make sure to change it to normal immediately!*** In addition, you can also enable rapid fire.
SFZ3 Double Upper is PACKED with game play modes. Capcom basically took the Dreamcast/Saturn ports and added a bit more content. There’s CvS2 Yun, Eagle, and Maki from the GBA port, Ingrid from Capcom Fighting Jam, plus the new Variable Battle mode, which lets you do tag-style character switching. The CPU is by itself, though, so this is basically a variation of dramatic battle. No idea if you can do 2-on-2 tag 2P battles or not. The manual says something about a new fourth ISM, but you have to clear World Tour mode first.
The game’s biggest negative point is similar to Darkstalkers: Color bleeding. On some stages (Ryu’s in particular), certain character colors will bleed pretty badly, but it’s nothing that affects game play. The font on the main menu screen is also pretty ugly; the text is fuzzy and looks squished together, but everything is still easy to read.
Overall, I’m quite impressed with the port so far. Don’t really have see much wrong with the game; Capcom included the d-pad cover for those who have issues with the PSP d-pad, and the load times are nice and fast, which was my only issue with Darkstalkers. Compared to other PSP fighters, SFZ3 offers so much more content and the largest roster selection of any portable fighting game, so single player sessions will last far longer, especially with the World Tour mode and character edit options intact from the console versions. Reccomended.
UMD movies have region lockout, UMD games are region free, this is common knowledge. lol
Lyte Edge want to sell me the d-pad covering? I will buy it off you
I can’t even jump forward with the standard dpad
The standard dpad is one of the worst ever made… maybe it is a problem with some units but my dpad just sinks right in and feels like crap. WORST. DPAD. EVER. Compare it to the dpad on the Nintendo DS and it’s like comparing a hairy woman to a sexy porn star. one might suck for a few bucks but the other one will end up giving your thumb herpes.
^agreed
well the capcom d-pad should alleviate that problem…
I’ll know for myself soon
