what about making the far HP combo into light punch CoD the way that c.Mp currently does? Then it would have a use since it’s got longer range than a c.mp? although I guess if you’re doing that you’d be better of with a f+mk into whatever

people are forgetting a couple really good normals, like shoto’s cr.mk, or sagats far lk, almost every one else’s far lp
im pretty sure giving Able a cancelable far poke wont hurt, it will just make some hard match-ups more tolerable
im pretty sure he means STANDING normals, of course crouching far normals are cancelable, they stay the same no matter the distance
what about the f+mk? or is that not a normal?
after thinking about it more, it’d be really cool if his standing far hp was the same as his close hp, even better if he took a step forward while doing it? (maybe like akuma’s standing roundhouse?)
that might be making it too different though. I generally like his moveset and dont want any big changes. I just hope they don’t nerf his ultra or TT.
edit: also they should make abel do 10% more damage against zangief. that would help the match without changing any moves.
edit 2: if FS had better priority would it be overpowered? still seems not as good as a dp since it ONLY hits people in the air
Just double checked, looks like I was wrong… lots of people can cancel standing far light punch, Guile can cancel standing far medium punch and so on… I had no idea anyone could cancel a far normal into anything

Make all hits of CoD focus cancelable, not just the first and the second low.
EX skyfall should literally grab the sky and slam it into your opponent from anywhere on the screen.

F+MK has to stand up on hit, and it needs to be +1 or +2 on block.

I think wheel kick should be unthrowable on startup/have faster startup. Seems kinda silly to me that as unsafe as it is after it comes out, it’s just as unsafe even attempting to do it. Not to mention that many other characters with moves that get the off the ground are unthrowable even while their startup frames are technically still on the ground.
Also Abel’s got some weird shit where if you focus during a roll and hold it, it’s not a real focus. It’s probably a stupid idea to do this anyway, but I tried it to surprise my opponent and ended up surprising myself when the focus went down to a sweep. No focus break, it just…wasn’t a real focus. That seems to me like quite the oversight.
