Yeah thats why we got probably only max 300 playing regulary 3rd strike on ggpo. Many players dunno about ggpo or can´t get it to work so we need a perfect port on xbl and psn.

You’re pretty much appealing to lowest common denominator though. I’m not sure how much anyone really needs 3rd Strike: Ken Scrubs Edition.

I was unfortunate enough to not be a part of the 3rd Strike movement (only had it for 3 days, and at that time, I was unaware of…EVERYTHING). Now I can finally play it since I can’t freaking find the SF Anniversary Edition…

All to be fair, I will defend HAV since I actually have seen that he knows 3rdStrike and when he says he doesn’t “play” the game, he means he’s not a top player in 3S. All of you scrubs blasting him don’t know what you’re talking about.
I’ve met him personally and know that he played tournament level 3S for years just like everyone else last decade with some of the best 3S players in the country and I guarantee he knows more about 3S than 99.98% of you.

LOL. That’s actually not true. I played 3S for a couple of months and hated it. I played it when I went to NC tournaments just because I would team up with guys who would win like Justin, Eric Kim, etc.

Unless they release this new version in the arcades then I don’t want the game to have a rebalance/rebalance mode at all.I don’t want the community to be split and not releasing it in the arcade would mean the japanese would not play it and it would go the way of HDR.

For the record, I play CvS2, and if CvS2 ever gets a re-release, I, and… well… any other real CvS2 player, would vehemently oppose any rebalancing. The games are what they are, and these are games that enjoyed 7+ year runs as competitive staples. There’s a reason for that, and having a bunch of mediocre players come in and muck it up is silly.

That’s because CvS2 is 8 ways of awesome and doesn’t need any rebalancing.

-Make super arts unparriable. im fine with parries being as powerful as they cause thats been a hallmark of 3S, but being able to negate an entire super string is just pure bullshit.

How about we don’t change anything at all about the parry system?

Here’s what’s wrong… Capcom has always been shit at rebalancing. What they do is take out everything that made the best characters any fun at all, and bring them down to the level of all the rest of the shitty characters.

True that. I always see people complaining about balance when truthfully, the game would just be boring and plain without those broken characters. I wounder if people would play mvc2 as long as they do if Magneto couldn’t hit you from all sides. I been saying that for a while man and everyone looks at me like I’m crazy. An already boring sf4 was made even more boring in super because they made everyone do less damage. It seems to be all about balancing these days and not just having fun with the game.

I’m not even a real cvs player and I agree.

I’m not very good yet I wouldn’t be surprised if I could beat some of you making suggestions, and I sure as hell don’t deserve any say in changing the game. The problem with scrubs making suggestions is that they don’t truly understand the meaning of a move or what the character is really capable. When I watch top level play, its fun to watch, and I would hate to see that dumbed down like most these new games.

Here’s the deal. If you’re looking for a 3S rebalance, chances are you’re not a good enough player to even be able to make much difference out of the changes. And it’s not like you guys understand the game well enough to be able to agree on what specifics you would want changed. Seriously, this dude just asked to have parry removed…

People will buy this, regardless. I don’t even play 3S, and I plan on buying it, if the game is left intact. Scrubs wil buy it too, just because it’s SF. I don’t see Capcom changing it. The backlash would be horrible.

My first fighting game was SF3 (I was really young lol) and I had anniversary collection and played 3S (no good). So I am KINDA happy about this.

I also visit the MVC2 forums, and some of these veterans are bitching that it isn’t like the Dreamcast or Arcade version. Like for example, Blackheart is upper mid tier in the arcades, but on the next gen versions, he gets like a free reset with his roundhouse demons and it is mad annoying to get hit by all that random chip damage, which make people believe that he is top-tier which he definately is. Cyclops’ infinite is almost impossible. Also the online is an epic-fail because there are glitches where if you try to get on rank, and you get disconnected, the screen is blank and you can’t get out of it. and more…

i think that was because they changed the engine (or modified it or something along those lines, all i know is that it is slightly different). the mvc2 on xbox360/ps3 looks the same but feels different. they probably wont do this with 3s because they ported the game to xbox/ps2 and they say its quite true to the original except for some strange bugs, so i imagine they can do it again. i dont think they will screw this up in that sense. also the netcode for mvc2 is good (at least better than sf4) so i feel like they can do a good job with this.

Go the way of HDR = Still get played at top US events, and even have Japanese players who haven’t practiced with the changes show up and place well in it? Also the whole “Japanese only play in arcades” thing is getting pretty old.

for the record, if they had to rebalance the game, i wouldnt want huge tweaks just stuff like:
alex ex moves no longer -5ish on block, so they dont get nailed by ken/chun reversal sa pretty much everywhere.
twelve damage tweaked upward
nerfing chun sa2/genei jin SLIGHTLY. these 2 characters dominate out of the top 8 (down to urien/ryu/oro), i would hope theyd get in line with the top 8.
oro given a real forward throw

just little tiny little simple things would make the game a thousand times better. they dont need to overhaul anything, just make minor adjustments. tbh i feel the characters below yun and above oro are all perfect within each other and dont need anything. the top 8 all have cool/unique playstyles that are hella fun. dont wanna fuck with those.
