i’m hoping the netcode is almost or equal to SF4. I get some pretty good connections with people I play online so as long as its not as bad MVC3 i can live with that
i’d also like a trial mode that is just like streetfighter ex plus alpha for ps1. I still have some trials to finish in that game lol . 3rd strike trials wont have anything as difficult but id love to have something similar. red parry trials and juggle trials would be cool

Rebalance doesn’t bother me too much, I could always use Dudley against Chun. But netcode… I don’t know. Capcom has failed so many time in that regard.
Like I said, its called Online Edition. If the online isn’t on point, we should sue Capcom for false advertisement.
And I can’t help but wonder what the graphical enhancements will look like. Third Strike still looks incredible to me. Please don’t hire Udon again, Capcom.

I’m glad that there’s no rebalance. Capcom seems to want newer players to get into 3rd Strike in the same form 3S fans have been playing for so long. As for the whole thing that Sven hyped way back, my guess is that it’ll be like some indepth tournament mode. Maybe one that Capcom will host themselves for events and such.
They already have a working, GGPO based CPS emulator (which they tested with Final Fight: DI, which Sven confirmed was running the original ROM). So it’s most likely using that.
If they were using an emulator I don’t think they could simply add in Graphic Filters and the other shit so easily. MVC2 was taken from the DC version and not the Naomi rom, and they had to re-config it for consoles.
This would be my vote.
That’s never the case. None of this is ever ‘just do this, just do that’. But knowing that Capcom has used GGPO and on arcade based ROMs is at least a bit reassuring. If they had no experience with ggpo, I’d be very concerned it’d turn out completely worthless.
Ultimately it’s going to be some form of emulation. I am going to say right now I bet the ps3 version will suffer in some way. If Capcom can avoid that and make a wonderful port it will be a huge huge achievement.

What makes you say that? I’ve heard of problems with HDR, but not a peep on problems with MVC2 or Final Fight.
3sOE is not an emulator like Final Fight Double Impact since Sh-2 emulation is far from finished playable doesn’t mean finished. This is a port no emulator is involved in the code. Why is Backbone’s work is considered Capcom’s work?
