Street Fighter 3rd strike: Online edition

watch any theshend matches with makotos in them. one guess in her wake up results in 90% damage MINIMUM.
chuns spinning bird is rarely stuffed and even then, she doesnt eat much damage.

Please link us to these mysterious and powerful Makoto videos, unveiling the secret wake-up technology that nobody has figured out over 10 years.

sarcasm that makes no sense = fail

the producer of mvc3 said it didn’t have replays or spectating because of the rapid inputs and large amount of data transfer. neither should be an issue with 3S, so replays should be a go unless there’s some other bs excuse to fall back on.

yeah, i’m hoping that gets patched in mvc3 before we even need to consider that for 3S. not user-friendly or intuitive at all.

hate to say this, but i always felt like that would tarnish the purity of training mode. plus not many people would use it. but if it doesn’t take long to implement, i won’t deprive anyone. it’s a good idea.

actually mvc3 botched that. it is in player match, but there’s no rematch option in 2-player lobbies, and lobbies are the only way to play friends. huge oversight.

You realize that is complete bullshit about replays adn data transfers, right? Watch any SF4 replay with inputs on - youll see nothing but spam inputs and SRK mashing and so on filling the screen nonstop. There is absolutely no difference between SF4, Blazblue, MvC3 or any other fighter in terms of input management for network code. Hell, RTS games have more inputs and people measure epeen with APM in those games. Yet spectators and replays work just fine despite so much more going on onscreen and capable of more than 2 people playing at the same time. No affect on lag or ability for modes. Capcom rushed MvC3 out for money and knew people would buy it regardless of what they cut. It has nothing to do with ā€œrapid inputs adn large amount of data transferā€. It is the exact same amount of data as any other fighter and less data and slower inputs than your standard FPS or RTS game

No seriously, I’d like to see these amazing videos you’re talking about. I’m ready to be blown away here.

Down + whatever beats EX SBK and will parry her c. jab on wake-up.

Denjizz, you need to play characters other than shotos, because a lot of your assumptions are based on watching or playing against others. Things are a lot different when the shoe is on the other foot.

Denjin Ryu 4 lyfe. Can you imagine how godlike that SA is gonna be online?

Sho.Tatsumaki.Mets… I’m just glad there’s a port coming out. I’ll get it along with the solid copy I have with the SF anniversary.
Makoto lives on! And to whoever said Makoto has good wake up game… Must be getting that ass whooped a bit too much. I likes my parries.

i know that. i just meant they wouldn’t be able to use it as an excuse if 3S doesn’t have it.

Fuck a Rebalanced mode, a want an Unbalanced mode to play. Chun-Li and Makoto get shoryukens, Necro’s moves are safe on block, Alex’s specials become actually useful, etc. Just go full-retard on us, Capcom.

lol yang, yun, ibuki are much more dangerous. what difference does it make if it was online? not like youre gonna parry it offline either.

makoto’s wake up game is very strong. youre pushing your luck if you fight her in the corner.

mgear, stop playing top tiers. and then play a good chun player. complete different shoe on another foot

ehhhhh. makoto has NO wake up.

tech roll to a low parry

oh man, obvious low forward parry into command grab, such a viable tactic. I’ll have to write that one down.

I play lower tiers all the time against her. It can be a pain in the ass, but not because her wake-up game is good. Even if she lands EX SBK, it means more time fighting her without SAII (which is always a good thing). Once she gets meter shit can go downhill really fast unless you’re Oro or something–in which case you’re fucked either way.

Like you would know…

The problem with Chun is getting in and consequentially getting her the fuck off of you. It’s not because of her wake up game you dumb nub. Her wake up game is ass, and the saving grace in that matchup. Daigo got most of his damage against Wong’s Chun after knocking her down and mindfucking him.

If you think Yun isnt as beastly as Chun then you probably haven’t played the right Genei Jin user

Indeed.
