Street Fighter 3rd strike: Online edition

lol mgear. re5 is nothing like re4.

the only good part about re5 online was the mercenaries which was an exact replicate of re4’s mercenaries. VERSUS was complete trash. the first person who strikes will win 95% of the time. (survivors/team survivors)

slayers/team slayers is actually pretty challenging/fun.

RE4 was boring.

Even Mega Man 9? I heard that was pretty good.

Why are you niggas’ talking about Resident Evil in the 3S forum?

because 62 pages and you guys are still talking about the same shit, little boring here… >.>

what if they just nerf chun, but leave everyone the same. wouldnt you all be happy?

what if they have a new remix mode, and also have a classic mode so you old men can play your “classic game”

bring 2nd impact stages and music back! also nerf chun yun ken and buff 12 sean hugo.

Okay how about this: I propose they remove Chun from the game. Just remove her. Viola! Game is balanced.

Go play NG or 2I then.

should just make this a new thread, sticky it and then lock it.

But those games suck and lack Q.

You’re just going to bitch about Yun and Ken next.

Ken is just easy mode for easy damage. He’s still more than beatable. Yun is beatable too. All Yun has is: Dive kick pressure, mixup with command grab, and SA3. If you block his SA3 the most dangerous thing he can do is either fake you out/bait you into massive damage, and command grab during SA3 for massive damage. Other than that, and how quickly he builds SA3 he’s still beatable. Chun is a fucking wall. The best AA options in the game. Amazing Air-to-Air priority. Amazingly safe normals on block. The best Kara-throw in the game. And a great juggle after SA2 that leads to mixup options. Her only real weakness is her bad wakeup game.

i know it’s not in our nature to care much about online, but i’m starting to think we should be more specific about the online requests since capcom has shown that they’re still totally capable of fucking it up a la mvc3. so how about some opinions on the following:

-custom labelling of lobbies like blazblue (basis: the pre-made tags in mvc3 are gay and meaningless)
-options to customize what entails “region” searching (basis: region filtering is stupid for canadian players in sf4 and mvc3, and for european players in sf4)
-host alone in a lobby can’t ready himself/herself (basis: mvc3 lets them do this and the match starts even if they’re afk)

tried to think of ideas i hadn’t mentioned earlier. also anything is better than scrubs talking about rebalance over and over, right?

not trying to instigate but IMO, chun has one of the strongest wake up games (second to makoto).

pokes, ex lightning kicks, ex spinning bird.
even if they fail, she eats puny damage unlike shotos who eat a full combo.

lol people think capcom is doing the port.

i don’t know who’s responsible for the port directly but it’s my assumption that they would model the non-gameplay aspects of it after their most recent games

makoto has the best wakeup game? are we in bizzaro world?

Are you saying her wakeup options when SHE gets up, or when she goes on the offense with mixups on a downed opponent? If it’s the former, then expect quite a few Chun players to disagree with you on that one.

Are you high? Makato if anything is more like Urien, she guess parries on wakeup into grab, HP, SA. Clearly you’re an online Chun player: EX Spinning Bird Kick has start up and can be easily interrupted. Lightning kicks are garbage on wakeup, I’ve never seen a Chun do that. A poke? Maybe. They like to do that after quick rolling.

I’d expect replays and the ability to spectate in lobbies. These are both just fun and great tools to let people really dig into the game and see how/why things happen as they do.

matchmaking needs to not kick you back to the main screen or anything like that. If I do matchmaking it should try to match me up, if it can’t say it can’t and then let me hit ‘x’ button to restart the search. Beyond that it should automatically just continue searching if a connection doesn’t work out.

Online training room/mode. So you can jump into an infinite health/super setup with a buddy and show them something you think they should check out or just fool around without having to go through a billion menus each time.

An immediate rematch option at the end of a fight is a must (at least that’s in mvc3).
