No it’s not used as a way to start anything really. It’s used pretty often out of a neutral jump though. I’m sure if you ask a few questions on the Makoto boards someone like Daemon or Duralath can give you some more specific Makoto insight.

Nah, I’m almost certain Capcom will try to make a SF3: 4th Down
They’ll need to nerf Hugo and cut his life down, like they did Sentinel in MvC3.
I think a full-fledged sequel would be nice; SF4 doesn’t exactly feel like a natural progression for the series.

This was pretty much my first impression regarding SF4, only EX was way more fun BECAUSE of the goofy shit in the game…not to mention Zangief was actually fun to play.

All of the Street Fighter “numbers” are their own separate series with their own separate mechanics. I like all of them for their own reasons.

kenin: I’m guessing you can ban certain characters during your own matches, but hopefully it won’t be possible for ranks and tournaments(unless there are stipulations like the “Ryu vs Dudley rules”). Personally I think it’d be fun to see an all Urien tourn; it’d be a horrible mess but it’d be so fun.

And hm I see, thanks aku. Well this can be a good idea, I wonder if you can make a player lobby and ban a list of characters. Like ban characters you are comfortable fighting against and only allow players that use characters you don’t like to fight against. To help you learn the matchups, hard to explain through text but I don’t know I think it would be pretty cool.
