Street Fighter 3rd strike: Online edition

Now that 3s is finally making its comeback, now all we need is Alpha 3 (Upper) and then we got a triple threat of classic SF games to play online competitively!

EDIT: Btw, will this game also have offline modes, such as arcade, versus, survival, and practice?

It’d be nice if people didn’t lump the “Remove parries” and the “Chun’s SA2 reduced to one stock” ideas into the same category. The former changes the dynamic of the entire game and then other things would need to get moved around to compensate. Everyone knows this isn’t a good idea in many different terms. The latter makes one of one overused character’s tools slightly less desirable. Don’t be all drama

I don’t care about Chun’s SA2 being silly good; I care about the fact that parry literally makes everything you do in the game unsafe. It’s a stupid mechanic, period.

EDIT: I really like the general assumption being thrown around in this topic that you automatically must be bad at Third Strike if you want anything about the game changed. I know it might be hard for some of you to believe, but 3S isn’t perfect. There’s no reason to be afraid of change.

I don’t see why the game wouldn’t have offline modes. In fact, I hope they add more offline modes.

Parries are what makes 3rd strike unique IMO. Take out parries it’s just another street fighter game with different characters. Play another game if you dont like parries. I can’t actually believe what I’m reading; a 3rd strike player wants parries removed!! Thats like saying I like soccer but lets remove the rule where you’re aloud to kick the ball. (bit exagerrated I know but still u get the jist)

The game needs to be rebalanced,but to be honest so does MvC2. Yet no one wants MvC2 to be rebalanced.

The game definitely has some uneven gameplay, but I still like it as it is.

If anything make the rebalanced mode something extra should they rebalance the game.

There should even be a mode similar to Alpha 3’s World Tour mode. That would be interesting.

i know for sure i can’t play HD remix…having that problem where after maybe 2-3 matches it kinda freezes in the Vs. screen and from there i can’t play any online match
