well i dont know maybe just activate first then do it, i just read the combo description and quit that shit quick lol
I hope the control issues were due to monitor lag. Capcom fucking up the controls would be a holocaust of wrong.
I think the last trial for Alex should be: (Dummy jumping and at 50% stun) Dive, stHK, EX Flash, then HP Flash, stMK, EX Flash, SA2.
That makes a lot more sense, but it’d ruin the point of being his hardest combo, haha
If it’s really overhead DP->SA3->QCF+P, that must be some super-strict timing. I was expecting maybe the slippery-ass ground crossup Double EX DP juggle on Hugo, or C&DB->Dash Punch->opposite side Dash Punch.
Ryan, what kind of monitor they provided? the same for the E3 2011? As far as I know, nobody complained for such issues at the E3…which could be a good news actually…
Ok…at the E3 3.3 OE was running on Sharp monitors, that may be explain why there was no complain about lag issues. Nevertheless, EVERY LCD has its own latency input (usually 1 or at worst 2 frames), some tweaking should address the problem quickly.
keep in mind that i am a 3rd strike snob. i mainly play arcade and i hate ps2 console.
3rd strike online was the first game ive EVER played on a flat screen monitor. felt like shit to be honest.
maybe others feel different but on those monitors i was playing at 59%.
played 3s oe at the san francisco release party for sf4 ae edition…played it on sony bravia lcd monitor…had no issues with lag at all…i was able to do ever combo as were other keystone players…no complaints here…august 23rd cant come any sooner…
keystone 3s players are nooobs.
^
lol
rom and i played several matches together …he won 5…i won 2…but each round we were 1 and 1…had no complaints from him or i…been playing 3s since 1998 when it was not cool to play…
: )
just playing:smokin:
no worries…just hyped for the 23rd…
Thanks Ryan.
Does anyone know if Ryu’s bag falling over, but the Poison and Aegis colors being wrong are the same as the DC version? I think the bag is enough evidence that it isn’t a PS2 port, but I wouldn’t know if it’s a DC port.
anybody else tried the game? any others feedback?
Every “expert” combo for every charge character should include a ridiculous partition set up.
Also, did any of the combos besides Evo moment #37 require parrying before the combo? There should be multiple trials against Urien’s Aegis and Gouki’s fireballs.
I think the point of the trials is that they’re meant to be practical combos for people to pick up and use in a match, rather than just the hardest thing they could come up with at the time. I suck dick at combing in this game so I’ll probably end using this a lot.
…actually, NONE of those trials ryan posted are all that practical in a real match, except for maybe Makoto’s 100% Stun and to a much much lesser extent Akuma’s KKZ reset. They were meant to be the final trials for each character, so in terms of difficulty some of those are kind of a letdown. There are some final trials that could be beneficial to learn though, like Necro’s db.HPx6. Ken’s is just silly and mad KYSG-ish. lol
Ok to be honest those were the only two I looked at haha. Well I guess the difficulty is kinda relative compared to vets like you and scrubs like me too.
That’s a very relevant question, because up to this point we assumed they were using the PS2 version as their baseline. Now we have a whole other set of questions about what exactly they did with the porting of the game. As far as I know the PS2 and DC versions are identical graphically sharing the same issues.
