My āI need to show this guy Iām not completely terribleā character is Yang, who I use to comeback from a losing streak. My most used character is Q. I want a new character as well. Someone who isnāt top Yun, Chun, Ken, Makoto, and Urien.
I never got the hang of Q. I might have to go through some trials with all the characters and learn the fundamentals to the ones I dont already know. Twelves a bit nuts too so that could be another fun one to learn. Im really getting into the totally crazy characters at the moment. Twelve mirror match with XCOPY super is what 3S was made for.
What system are you getting OE for? If it is 360 I can show you Oro and Hugo (I aināt shit but I will do my best). I plan to learn Necro and you can teach me Q. Deal?
Lmfao. Twelve XCOPY Twelve. lol. I think I might pick up Twelve. He seems REALLY fucking weird, though.
You know, Q is really bad/good. Once you start getting a good grip on how slow all of his shit starts up and how much range a lot of it has, youāll start landing more hits more often. Keeping a charge, using the claw, landing Standing Forward or Close Standing Jab and cancelling into special and/or super, etc. Itās all something you start learning the more you play with him. Iāve been using him all of the last two weeks, and although a know a lot of combos with him, Iām only just now actually landing shit with him. My biggest problem now is getting out of pressure. Q has NO reversal and if you donāt have good parry skills (Iām terrible at it), you can easily get stuck in the corner with all manner of pokes being thrown at you and theyāll ALL be faster than yours. D:
Yeah, 360. I donāt know if Iāll be good enough to really teach someone the character by the time it comes out, but I should at least be able to provide what little matchup experience youāll need to beat him everytime. lol.
Cool! Add CRITICALSHOT, āthe blind leading the blind.ā Damn shameā¦
I play Twelve⦠in all honesty you donāt need to know much as long as youāre good at zoning/know your distancesā¦
Surprisingly, one of Twelveās easier matches is Chun Li(even though Iām using the best Twelve in the world as an example but still)⦠but the other top tier matches SUCK⦠especially Ken and Urien, because your fly around the screen and annoy people is completely shut downā¦
Donāt use your air dash against Urien unless you know for fucking sure itās safe because you canāt parry if he hits you with his fireball⦠at that point just drop the controller⦠because it sort of goes like:
Fireball during airdash-> Fireball hits-> crush, crush, crush-> Twelve in corner-> Aegis Reflector-> Random bullshit-> dead-> Urien stands over you in his thongā¦
I love how in 3S, I can play for hours without raging, I will actively learn multiple characters, and I will waste hours on youtube just watching match videos.
Iāve been playing SF4 since Vanilla and it still pisses me off in too many ways.
Hmm, it looks like someone forgot to proofread/double check when they were changing stuff. Looks like someone at Iron Galaxy is gonna get slapped upside the head for being lazy.
I saw in your sig that you like Korean Sticks. I currently use a Seimitsu LS 56-01 with an Octo Gate. What K Stick are good (model #'s) how do they feel, where can I get a good K Arcade Stick, what would you suggest? More info the betterā¦sorry.
I use Myoungshin Fanta, though Iāll be trying out Crown CWL-306 as soon as I have some spare cash.
The feel is in-between circle and LS-56 octo; good return to neutral, smooth circular motions.
Best shop is eTokki.com by far. Be aware that they need extra depth inside the stick & a bigger (35mm) hole.
Thatās why Iāve almost entirely dropped that game after AE came out. I donāt care what the port situation is with 3SOE, itās my main game from now on.
Gill is still a fucking faggot, though.
Who is the best Twelve? I was watching some Yamazaki matches earlier.
fixed to reflect my experience. im hoping 3s is the same way for me
I know it would be an issue to install in a TE Stick but maybe I will find a good pre-made stick. I will check out that link and see what I can find.
Yamazaki⦠is definitely the most top tier twelve of allā¦
He makes alot of opponents look like jokes with twelveā¦that is the dude you want to watchā¦
By the way, that axe->sa1 IS NOT an easy hit confirm by any means⦠but he just pulls it out of his ass with no problemā¦
The only other graphical oddity to add to Gaijinblazeās list, that I noticed is the colour scheme for 2p Hugo and Poison/Roxy is incorrect when compared to the arcade version. If anyone else noticed any deviations from the arcade version or any errors in the 3SO vids please speak up. Capcom has indicated they are willing to listen, so we the community have an opportunity to insure 3SO is without a doubt, the closest thing you can get to the definitive arcade Third Strike experience.
Just got a reply from Sven, heāll be sharing these with Derek.
It is actually a pretty big bummer that the character portraits arenāt color-matched to the playerās character. Makes watching mirror-matches much easier.
Looks like they are just porting the PS2 port to the 360/PS3 with sprinkles on top. The two items listed above are the same issues the PS2 had. Like I stated before; same issues as in the PS2 port (the Hugo issue is in the PS2 port). Look at my thread for the diffs. in the ports and look at the link that someone provided in that thread. They will just say the same things you stated word for word.
