In your typical game, the game music is muted while yours plays. In this, it looks like one of two things will happen: You’ll hear both musics (game and yours), or just the game’s.
You really think they’re going to put in alt costumes in a sprite-based 2d game? In a game where the sprites are as loved and as well animated as 3s? Yeaaaahhh… not gonna happen. Plus I don’t think I’d want to see that.
P.S. Urien being the obvious exception. I would feels so much more comfortable in this game if… he didn’t rip his damn clothes of 
Apparently, there’s a subset of scrubs who wont buy the game unless the stages, in screen and transition screens from NG and 2I are turned into free DLC.
Oh well…less scrubs for me to deal with online.

if its the “most arcade perfect port ever made” and a “love letter to the fans” why cant i just make it look like the original? they obviously spent the time to make it look arcade with the scanlines and the arcade monitor emulator, but the hud and character select screen are not like the arcade. to be blunt, they look like shit.
does anyone else think this is crazy? or is it just me?
The hud and chara select screen don’t annoy me to much, but I do feel its was kinda contradictory for them to try to make the game look arcade perfect and still neglect the original hud and select select. I’m still hoping they correct the colour schemes with 2p Urien and Hugo as well. But at this point, knowing the console colours are definitely in, I wonder if making that adjustment would require extensive code rewriting, and just be infeasible.
Knowing how color schemes work on original arcade system, it’s really simple to add or modify colors, with or without source code.

Bah, I can live with the ugly new art and HUD, and I’ll probably have to, but I’d most defenetly buy a patch that allows to use Ikeno’s stuff instead.
For 2I stage/music, it’s not what I’d buy straight up, but if they sell it, for cheap I may get tempted.
A colour edit mode would be a good surprise, as long as you don’t have to look at every one’s colours.
