Just a thought about 2I stages - Size differentials? I don’t think it matters as much in this game as it does in Super Turbo (Limitedly, but getting cornered in Claw’s stage is too fucking easy)

To actually answer you - There’s no argument. The standards for calling the three bosses by their universal name stands. It’s what the community does. Claw, Dictator, and Boxer.

On a 3SO related note, does anyone know if Capcom made any mention of when they would be releasing info on DLC for this game? Only a day from release and not a peep from them.
DLC characters obviously. C Viper, Blanka and Magneto for $4.99
In one of the reviews, they mention that you can pay to unlock the dipswitches.
In other words, instead beating arcade mode with everybody to unlock the final dipswitches, you just pay .99 cents to get them right away.
I don’t think any serious 3s player is going to bother getting let alone buying the final dipswitches.
Thanks Bolt, I hope they have ideas for additional DLC content because paying for unlockables is kinda disappointing and imo somewhat pointless.
I’m sure they’ll make some money off of it considering how lazy gamers are these days. Dollar adds up when you get enough lazy gamers to do the same thing. They just know they can make a quick buck off those guys and I don’t blame them.
I’m sure they have some plans for some real DLC worth spending money on in the future.
i can already tell from reading the comments the purists are going to pull another hd remix on us. that being putting down a possible revival for their game by hating and nitpicking on it unnecessarily. the difference here is that there were things to legitimately complain about with hd remix. if you’re really that upset by a different hud and character select screen then you should prolly take a long walk off a short bridge, or at least keep your pessimistic comments to yourself for the time being. i love third strike as much as any of you being an older competitive player myself but i see NOTHING but positives in this re-release. nitpicking and elitism are just going to shun newcomers away from the game and that is about the last thing we want to do right about now. capcom repolished this gem for us and the ball is in our court now. i dunno about you guys but im going to add a lot of new players that seem to legitimately want to learn the game so we can grow the community and get more competent players in 3rd strike.
- It doesn’t take an elitist to think that the new HUD/character select screens aren’t as good looking. Many of us don’t care anyway, these are just minor gripes.
- There’s a difference between “griping about OE’s little changes” and “full-out shitting on HD Remix’s complete overhaul”. We’re nowhere close to pulling an “HD Remix”, in your words.
In the end, many of us have said that gameplay is what really matters. We’ve heard nothing but good things so far(aside from TV lag), so that alone will make us throw money at Capcom.
Also, throwing the word “elitist” around has been stale for a while now. Just letting you know…

i’d also like to have a color edit mode and a way to upload them for others to download. that way if you don’t deal with people online who made something distracting like an all white/black character or something. you only see what you’ve made/downloaded on your screen.
btw i’m getting all the dlc even if it sucks ass, just to support the developers and show capcom that 3s can make them money.
