Street Fighter 3

Yep, that’d be a part of the FAQ I’m referring to.

They seem to favor Guile (with Chun Li, as a alternative) for winning the SF2 tournamet. However, there is still no Official winner (at least Capcom has never said who’s won, as far as I know).

Since there is no official winner known, Udon can pick whoever they want to win the tournament.

Going back on topic now, though…

I’d assume that the winner of the SF2 tournament would also be invited to the SF3 tournament. Of course, this doesn’t have to be the case, but I think it would be in bad form to not invite the previous champion. If Guile did indeed win, will he be invited to SF3? Would he just decline because he no longer has a reason to fight?

So many questions…

I can’t wait

This is for Udoneko if he has planed this far ahead.

I wanted to know if Udon plans to tie the stories of Street Fighter 3 New Generation/2nd Impact together with 3rd Strike, or if they shall be dealt with seperately as different storylines over different arcs? In other words will they be treated as the same games or almost as sequels to each other?

Or are you gonna tell me to wait and see? Lol.

I personally feel that it would be better if both game’s storylines were seperated to build character relationships etc, what are your views?

Which background is that?

The background “Q” is supposedly in ( I really don’t believe it’s him) is in Street fighter 2 champion edition and turbo. He is in Ken’s stage. The one with the cloak. I still don’t believe it’s him since there are two guys in cloaks. Unless there’s a good picture of it. Anyways, I hope it does make it into the comics (SF3) but I still find it weird how they are including the alpha universe mixed with the original. To be honest, I’m pretty sure it take’s place before the regular street fighter universe. I just want to know why everyone is assuming Charlie is Blanka since I don’t see any connections. (The movie doesn’t count) Isn’t he called Jimmy or something? I"m really confused. Anyone have storylines for each and every character? That would be most helpful.

maybe when the sf3 story kicks in they’ll predominately show the stories of the sf3 chars, with small bits of the sf2 chars
also, they have to show what happened b/w sf2 and sf3
so maybe they can use flashbacks to show what happened

Is that Q theory still floating around? No, it’s not him. All About Capcom lists all characters appearances and background appearances in Fighting Games. For example with Chun-Li, it mentions how she is a background character in the Tokyo Stage in SF3 New Generation and Second Impact, but doesn’t mention her Breath of Fire Appearance since that’s not a Fighter. Anyway, the only game listed for Q that he has appeared in is SF3 Third Strike. AAC goes up to all Capcom Games from 1987-2000. Not in the book because it came out to close to the book’s release is CVS1 and SF EX3.

Well Between SF1 and SF2, wasn’t there a big cut out of characters? you could say the same about that, but no-one seemed to care back then.

Well, obviously. In order for people to care back then, they would have had to care about Street Fighter 1 in the first place.

I am hoping that Charlie isn’t Blanka for the comic because that would be the beginning of the fall of the comic, DeeJay making a cameo as a Shadaloo soldier already has vaguely hinted on the use of the movie plot which worries me…

Anyway, yes Blanka’s real name is indeed Jimmy, as a child he was in a plane that crashed just over the Amazon. Jimmy was seperated from his mother and anyone else on the plane and therefore was stranded in Brazil, during his time in the Amazon his transformation took place, but with the Canon it’s always been a mystery to what exactly happened or triggered it.

I never really understood that, thanks for telling me nortlee. You wouldn’t happen to know where I could get some in depth biographies on each and every character?

http://orochi.com/sffaq/characters.html
Bitch.

NP Copy X

Just go with Golden Dragon’s (That seems like an excellent one anyway though I’ve only read a couple of profiles so far) since mine was based on the character profiles from Street Fighter Collection 2. So that meaning you would need that game and it only covers the Street Fighter 2 characters with the exceptions of the Super crew:
Cammy, DeeJay, Fei Long, T. Hawk and Akuma.

Well it was the same with Final Fight 1 and 2, Haggar was the only returning character. Besides, if you wanna play Dhalsim vs Ryu I suppose Capcom thought you could play any game in the SF2 series or SFA2 or 3. People don’t like change, so Capcom does the changing for us.

GD is that what that was for? You really need to work on it. Too many damn errors. You sure it’s the “final version?” Anyways, Dragon don’t need to be cussing. Show some damn respect. After all, it’s not like we all read the whole damn thread. Besides when someone posts a website not everyone clicks on it. I just looked at the last page and asked a simple question. Don’t be an ass about it.

Hey, be easy. The ‘bitch’ remark was meaningless and was just for laughs. Y’know, just jokes. Don’t cry. I thought that was obvious…guess I have an odd sense of humor. Btw, Tiamat’s the author of that FAQ. I didn’t write it, so if you have any issues with the spelling/grammar errors, I suggest u take it up with him.

SF3 characters suck period.

Just out of Curiosity…
Has the pack with SF3 ever hit the Uk?

Or do we have to wait or will it never happen :frowning:

The fact that there are errors in the Plot Guide shows you it was made by one Human Being. Yes, TiamatRoar had lots of help with gathering information but he alone wrote it. If you want it written perfectly, you are thinking of a book that has tons of people re-read it before it gets print who get paid for their services and not TiamatRoar’s Plot Guide that he has put together out of the goodness of his heart and has not recieved one red cent. Hate to dissapoint you, but TiamatRoar is not a Robot.

I apoligize as well but as you can see I get offended really easily and go berserk. I mean the last person that cussed me out was at work and he ended up with a broken nose. Of course he really meant what he said so I gave what was coming to him. But atleast you were honest and said you were “joking” around. So it’s forgiveable. Alas, the biographies are actually good. It just has a lot of misspellings and some stuff didn’t make any sense. Anyways, thanks for the link. Friends ok? :karate:
