Street Fighter 12 Spoilers and Discussions

Actually, he is known for being truthful. He wants to take over the world, sure. But everything he’s said so far has turned out to be the truth. Someone as powerful as him doesn’t need to lie.

He told Chun-Li he killed her father. While it took Chun-Li a while to accept this, guess what? Yes he did.

He had no problem telling T.Hawk he killed his father.

Back in the old Super SF2 days, he told Cammy used to kill for him. The SFZ Games confirmed what he said was true. And then in SF2 Revival which retcons the previous games, he had no problem telling Cammy about her past.

We have yet to catch Vega(Cape) in a red faced lie. Murderer, yes. Drug dealer, sure. Liar, no.

What bothers me about ‘roster’ or one character fanboys is that they are so busy looking at one character that they miss the whole point about Street Fighter all together. It’s ok if your character looses to some one or is weaker than someone. Why? Because SF hammers this point time and time again but roster and one character fanboys always miss it. In SF, winning is not everything. It’s weither or not you do your best that counts. Almost everybody looses to somebody. Losses -

Gouki - Let Ryu defeat him in SFZ2. All the evidence points to him loosing to Gen in SFZ3.
Gill - Let Alex defeat him, let Yun and Yang defeat him.
Vega(Cape) - Killed by Gouki
Sagat - Defeated by Ryu a la cheap shot. Defeated by Adon. Let Dan win.
Ryu - Defeated by Gouki. Let Sakura win. Defeated by Ken in SFZ2. Defeated by Sagat when he was brainwashed. Defeated by Oro. And this is SF’s main character. If you can’t tell that SF is not all about one character being stronger than everybody just by studying what’s happened to Ryu there isn’t much hope for you.
Ken - Defeated by Vega(Cape). Lost to Ryu in SF3 Third Strike.
Rose - Defeated by Vega(Cape)
Nash - Defeated by Vega(Cape) in SFZ3. Still managed to kill Vega though.
Urien - Let Chun-Li win, or more accurately she impressed him so he let her adapted kid go.
Guile - Defeated by Vega(Cape) in SFZ3.
Chun-Li - Defeated by Vega(Cape) in SFZ2.
Balrog(Ninja) - Let Cammy beat him. Defeated by Rose.
Cammy - Defeated by Vega(Cape).
Hugo - Defeated by Ryu.
Dhalsim - Defeated by Ryu more than once, given Ryu’s SF3 win quote where he says something like "I used to beat a man who could stretch from India."
Alex - Defeated by Ryu
12 Dolls - Defeated by Vega(Cape).
Juni and Juli - Defeated by Cammy.
Rolento - Defeated by Guy in Final Fight.
Sodom - Defeated by Guy in Final Fight. Lost a Sumo match to E.Honda.
Sakura - Defeated by Vega(Cape).
Karin - Defeated by Sakura
Sean - Defeated by Ken and Ryu.

And you know what? I’m probably forgetting a lot more losses. It’s ok to accept in SF that your character can loose to someone else. Why? Look at the above list. Mostly everyone has lost to someone else. Winning isn’t everything. Even Mohammed Ali (not the SRK Poster. The Boxer. The Poster is undefeated ) lost in his life. What did he do? He came back and beat everyone who deffeated him before - making him the greatest champion of all time. No one wins all the time. It’s what you do with you losses that decides weither or not you are a true champion. But back to SF, winning isn’t everything. It’s all about being the best you can be.

The more you know…

So if Bison always tells the truth, does that mean that Cammy and he really WERE in love ?

Capcom USA changed what he said. In the Japanese version, he only tells Cammy that he used to kill for her. Nothing about them being lovers.

In SF2 Revival which retcons all previous SF2 endings, the lover thing is gone anyways.

SF2 Revival, you mean the Gameboy Advance version, SSFII Turbo Revival, or is this another game ?

The Gameboy Advance Version.

When I think about it, most of SF2 Revival’s endings weren’t really retcons or storyline updates so much as more accurate translations of what was there in the Japanese versions of SF2 all along (although the clone thing was new).

Hmmm. That would explain why the revival endings were left out of the japanese version of SF Eternal and Hyper SF2 Anniversary Edition at least.

Ive finally been able to pick up issue 12 (arghhk blast my retailer), the main story is moveing nicely (its quite focused on Cammy in this arc, but she actually beginning to grow on me ;p ).
I cant wait for Balrog & Vega to honeymoon-crash!

Keep up the good work Udon!

OH PLEASE, SPARE ME. STREETFIGHTER CANNON IS CONSISTENTLY BEING ALTERED AND RETCONED, THOSE STATS ON THE STREETFIGHER CHARACTERS MEAN NOTHING.

BLAH BLAH BLAH, bison has also said cammy and him were lovers when clearly it is not the case.

That was a Capcom USA mistranslation for the one millionth time. I’ve stated my case and my reasoning. You haven’t. Blah, Blah, Blah and using all caps answers nothing. State your beliefs like I have in a way all can comprehend and read or pipe down. Funny, when I first mentioned the SF Anniversary Poll to you when Cammy wasn’t doing so well, next thing I know Stefan hacks the Poll. Coincidence? I think not.

ORDERLY: Doctor! We’re trying to save Chitimaru from being an insane fanboy!
DR: We have to act fast! Give him fifty CCs of common sense, STAT!
ODERLY: Okay, I’m ready! CLEAR! No, didn’t work.
DR: Again Damn it! We’re not loosing anyone on my watch!
ODERLY: CLEAR!
ODERLY: I’m sorry Doctor, we did all we could.
DR: Throw the sheet over him and toe tag. It’s too late for this one. And he’s a homophobe Bush Jr. voter too. Good riddens.

SF Storyline has been altered and retconed since SFA3

SFA3 came out in 1998.

The last SF2 retconed was SSF2T which came out in 1994

who are you to say its a mistranslation? for all you know this was just another retcon created by capcom. they didn’t seem very intrested in fixing this mistake either. and great way of showing how intelligently you display you opinion by creating a joke about me.

I’ve seen the Japanese version. If you translate it it says nothing about them being lovers. If what you say is true Capcom of Japan would of retconed the ending as well and made them lovers in the last installment of the japanese SF2 and SF2 Revival. And notice how my joke was seperate from my statement thanks to a new invention called the space bar.
