The issue starts with two dolls capturing Cammy. Inside the Shadowloo base, Cammy finds herself in a test tube. Here she recalls how the dolls were captured from around the world and trained to be elite soldiers and assassins. Delta Red and Chun Li burst into the base and Luwanda frees Cammy. There’s a fight scene with several dolls. It’s revealed that Decapre, the doll that looks like Cammy, is basically a clone that wasn’t perfected. Cammy was the result of the perfect clone. When Cammy knocks off Decapre’s mask, it’s badly scarred or something. Colonel Wolfman tries to find the psycho drive component but the Scientist already has it. The scientists also unleashes Blanka on Delta Red. Blanka is knocked out by Luwanda. The dolls and the Scientist escape via helicopter. In Las Vegas, Ryu is with Ken to take wedding photos. Elsewhere in Las Vegas, Balrog and Vega decide to crash the party later.

Thoughts: Okay issue. I’ll be really glad when we take a huge break from Delta Red. They’re getting a little too much face time in my opinion and they’re not even main Street Fighter characters. The bit with Ryu having no shoes was funny. The backup story was alright. But again, did we really need ANOTHER story about Cammy and Delta Red.

Especially with Luwanda knocking out Blanka.

I haven’t read the issue, and don’t know how she did it, but still- she’s not a street fighter.

I thought SF characters were held to a higher standard of fighting and durability than normal humans, even special government agents.

To have Blanka knocked out by anyone other than another SF character is a knock on him, as far as I’m concerned.

Well she snuck up behind him and knocked him out. The scene went like this. Blanka does a rolling ball and hits Luwanda. Chun Li tries to do a drop kick on him but he does his ball roll thing and knocks her out. McCoy grabs him but then Blanka electrifies him. Blanka is afraid to approach Cammy since he has memories of her kicking the crap out of him. That’s when Luwanda knocks him out. Yeah, these Delta Red people are pretty strong. They easily take on the Dolls, who are supposed to be elite. But then again, Delta Red is supposed to be hot stuff as well I guess. My main problem is Chun Li. Isn’t she supposed to be a gifted fighter? She keeps losing all the time. She lost to Charlie, she lost to Cammy, and the rematch she had with Cammy found her getting dominated. I thought next to Rose, she was the strongest woman according to the storyline? Her throwing one measly punch at a doll this issue isn’t enough. We need to see why she’s strong. Random thungs aren’t gonna cut it. She needs at least one fight against another Street Fighter where she’s shown at excelling in her fighting ability. And enough Cammy stuff. I like her but I need a break from her as well.

Well, issue 12 pretty much concludes the Cammy part for this arc. This second arc is more focused on Cammy, which is what we have decided from the beginning. The next arc, will be like “The World Warriors”, where Ryu is going to travel around meeting all these other fighters.

But don’t miss issue 13 & 14, when Balrog and Vega crashes Ken;s engagement party VS Ryu, Ken, Guile, & Sakura! Talk about GROUP FIGHT!

Blanka… knocks out Chun-Li and then is taken out by Delta Red? Wow, no wonder why people are starting to complain about Delta Red. No one seems to be complaining about the Dolls though. Maybe it’s because the Dolls are just that much cooler! …okay, either that or it’s because it’s hard to complain about them when they are obviously there mostly to job to others. …including Delta Red! But everyone seems to be jobbing to Delta Red, now. snicker

ahem Anyways, regardless, I look forward to when I get my hands on this issue.

i am so mad that u people at udon have decided to make cammy a mere clone!! YOU SHOULD ALL BE ASHAMED!!! every cammy fan has loathed the possibility of her being a clone and wat do you do, YOU MAKE HER A CLONE!!! 4 SOME REASON MY COMIC STORE WASN’T ABLE TO GET THIS ISSUE I HAVE TO WAIT TILL TOMMOROW TO RECEIVE IT! BUT GETTING THE ISSUE IN MY HAND WILL ONLY FURTHER MY ANGER. and second of all we need more cammy in this comic!! brief fights with chun-li and half an issue all to herself isnt cutting it! but i do appreciate that u are all giving cammy some recognition.

The clone thing is actually from the games and Capcom. At least, for Cammy it is (Dunno about Decapre, but… dunno anything about Decapre, anyways). So you can blame Capcom for that if you hate it so much.

wait a second!I am getting my issue thursday,but you say that Blanka is unleased by the scientists of shadowloo? And he pauses when he remembers that Cammy kicked the crap out of him in the past???I thought he was supposed to be in the jungles of brazil. He should NOT have anything to do with shadowloo and he is NOT a bad guy.He joins the tournament to find his mom.He is friends with DAN and sakura in alpha. When does he become an allie of bison’s? Was he genetically mutated by shadowloo in the comic? What is going on here??? I hope I am not overreacting but this sounds totally horrible. Please someone tell me its not true and there is a logical explanation for this. :lame: I have loved and supported this comic from the beginning,but PLEASE UDON,DON’T SCREW THINGS UP!! This is starting to sound like that piece of shit garbage live action movie. Hopefully I am wrong and maybe someone can explain things better.

My take on it is that Blanka, like DJ and Charlie, was captured by Shadowloo and brainwashed. It seems the most obvious. He was used in the training of the dolls (in this case Cammy). Since he’s from Brazil, and they’re IN Brazil, it just makes sense for him to show up. I highly doubt Udon is doing anything from the movie, so calm down.
They can’t do every single little minor story detail in the comic. There’s just too many characters and it would become a cluttered mess. I don’t see anyone complaining about E.Honda’s role, or Zangief.

The only thing I had issue with was the print quality of the colors for the backup story and alternate cover. I know for a fact the colors were much brighter and better than what was printed.

Not being at their full potential happens to main characters in comics all the time, but main characters generally triumph when it really counts. For example, someone gave me the Hush trades for x-mas and I was a bit surprised that Superman could be controlled by a Poison Ivy, someone much lower in power level, but when it really counted Superman broke free. I think it creates a sense of mortality or vulnerability in a character that makes their eventual triumph greater.

Dear god, that made my day.

Anyhow, did anyone feel that the art was kind of off this issue? A lot of detail was lacking. Maybe it’s also because I find the delta red characters to be visually unimpressive. The Ryu, Ken, Vega and Balrog scene, however, I was very impressed with.

God, I love Ryu as the isolated-from-culture fighter.

And about those people who had contentions with Blanka working with Shadaloo, it looked like he was just a wild animal they captured that they were using. I donmt even think he was brainwashed. It looks like he was just going haywire on everyone around him, which coincidentally, werent any of the shadaloo agents. He was probably abused really badly(evident by his flashback about Cammy)and was just angry. The whole time I was praying to myself “please dont bev charlie please dont be charlie please dont be charlie.” Thank God Udon has more sense than that.

Chitamaru - They still didn’t flat out write she was a clone so you can figure out a way to spin it and say she was a genetically enhanced baby or something. Udon seemed careful not to use the word clone there.

Anyway, I finally got the issue! What happened to the good old days when I used to get the issue first and start these Threads? Like the song says, “Oh the times they are a chaaaangin’!” sano belts out the rest of the song on Harmonica…

I liked seeing Decapre’s face, man that was a surprise. I didn’t think she was that ugly! I guess she’s not Russian in the comic afterall, unless she was born/created in Russia.

Ryu with no shoes was really funny! So, I’m assuming Sakura’s appearance in the Summer Special happened right before the Wedding or perhaps after?

I like how thus far the comic has given Mike Bison props, and not making him the guy that goes down in one blow like he seems to be in most Mangas. He beat a guy with one punch and even Balrog(ninja) is impressed with Mike Bison when he doesn’t think much of the Dolls! Balrog even seems to get along with Mike Bison better in the comic than he does in the games. Ah, they make a good team IMHO! Just don’t make Mike Bison go down in one punch or anything in the next ish. And you’ll get extra points from sano if you make Mike Bison beat Sakura’s Ass! Relax Sakura fans, I keed, I keed.

Yeah, too much Delta Red there. But if they give Delta Red a break until SF2 then this issue was a great send off. I like Chun-Li and Cammy’s uneasy friendship. It was really big of Chun-Li to forgive Cammy. And a good back up, even if it was Cammy overkill.

The Artwork seemed more seemless than the last issue. BUT Chun-Li on page 9 was not ‘teh sexy.’ I think overall the characters needed to be a bit bigger in that shot, but if I only complain about one page it’s cool. I hope the book seems more and more seemless overtime.

Basically, we need more Blanka. Was he created in the lab? Did Cammy capture him as is and maybe they just suped him up? I didn’t like Lita knocking him out either or him loosing to Doll Cammy. Come on man, he’s Blanka! You should say Blanka was a lot weaker when Cammy took him out or he wasn’t mutated to get his electric powers back or something. But what do I know about writing? Nothing. That’s what.

I really loved reading about the process involved in Udon creating CFE endings. That was a nice bonus there.

Yeah, a few minor gripes here and there but still a great issue. But I agree. It’s time to send Delta Red to Malibu on vacation or something.

So I hear Ryu’s gonna be traveling after this arc. Will he go to Metro City? (Pretty pleeeeease…) Will he finally meet Chun-Li? AH! When will my two favorite Video Game Characters meet? GRRRR! OK I will continue to be patient.

Say 12 issues have past. I guess there’s no chance for an Annual Issue or we would of heard about it.

Yeah, the Delta Red stuff really, really sucked and took time from the actual Street Fighters, but its over now, and the storyline seems to be actually going somewhere, so its still better than the first arc.

I just got done reading the issue and I have no problems with delta red.I like that team but I agree we need to get to more core characters like blanka,Zangief and Honda.I wonder when Gen and Gouki have their death match and when R.mika shows up,but in time I guess. Next time Honda and 'Gief are shown I hope they get to kick some ass.

I was very worried and nervous about Blanka being under shadowloo’s control,but mabe they can explain what the hell is going on in the next issue since it left alot to be explored and explained. perhaps Cammy(killer bee) captured the beast in the jungles and roughed him up until he worked for them or something like that. Hopefully Udon doesn’t go the route of having him genetically mutated by shadowloo and they do it right by having him fall from the plane and fell in some toxic waste or something. I believe all this is before he becomes friends with Sakura and Dan and hopefully we get to see some of that soon since now blanka is freed by shadowloo by cammy and Chun-Li.He needs to enter the tournament because he is looking for his mother and maybe Chun-Li and cammy give him the idea for it.I have complete faith in Udon and know they will get it right. The issue overall was great and can’t wait until Vega and Balrog crash the party and throw down with Sakura,Ken,ryu and guile.

It looks like we are getting into the meat of the story with the next arc as things will start getting interesting with Bison and gouki coming back soon,and the whole thing with bison and Rose.Ryu will continue his journey and meet Dhalsim and hopefully we get to see Mika,Zangief and Honda somewhere on the way. Karin needs to show up in the main story and have a rematch with sakura.Perhaps when Sakura stops traveling with Ryu and on her way home she gets an unexpected surprise from KARIN!! anyways ,love the issue as always and keep 'em coming and I will keep supporting!!

I don’t think Blanka is tiered very high is he? Theres a faq somewhere…

I didn’t realize #12 was out, I’ll have to pick it up this Sunday if the comic book store is open, I doubt it will be open tomorrow, but I’ll run by and check anyway. Is there a site or something where I can find a tentative schedule?
