I don’t care if it there’s a delay between what’s happening “live” and what’s happening on stream. I will care, though, if I try to stream and I introduce lag and cause people to drop combos etc. Still wondering if I should snag this or not…
I’m wondering the same thing.
Can you capture to your pc with the gaming edition and edit the video for combo vids/tutorials?
Hey guys, I need some help. I’m looking into buying a new pc and I suck with pc knowledge. Trying to take advantage of the Blac Friday deals this week and I was looking into purchasing thisi5 laptop by Asus. Would you guys take a look at the specs and tell me whether or not I could run a pretty high quality stream with this computer stock? Also, I was looking into a desktop package deal Bestbuy is offering. This is thetower that comes with it. It’s bundled with a monitor, printer, keyboard and mouse. I noticed it had an AMD Quad Core processor. I know I could probably upgrade later to a stronger processor, but would that be efficient enough to run a high quality stream?
Does Xsplit or Wirecast support the black magic? Whenever I try and setup the HD PVR it says it’s in use by another program or some other error and doesn’t let me capture it directly. Is there some other way to do it with a PVR that’s not screen capping your desktop?
Check the guide for streaming with the hauppauge hd pvr thread I made in tech talk. It goes over using it with xSplit.
I was actually looking for it cause someone mentioned it but couldn’t find it ;\
Yeah it was a lot easier to find once I got your name right, lol
Yeah. I’ve got an intensity, you just put it straight in. No screencapping necessary. All you have to do is select it.
Anyway, for the PVR, it sounds to me like a process is still making use of it. I assume you are using windows, so hit Ctrl+Shift+Escape to open the task manager, select Processes, and look for an app that could be using it(like the official app, it may not actually close so It can initiate faster) and end the process.
Can anyone help me fix this audio problem I have??? It sound pretty bad with echoes. I put a head phone to the computer to prevent echoing. and I don’t watch the stream while streaming. The sound is still pretty bad. I want to record the whole room. I use the webcam to record room audio. Is it the webcam problem?? here’s an example. Please help
What if I just want to record my matches for watching later, youtube purposes etc? What would be best?
Have you tested both the HDMI and Component inputs with Xsplit? I was debating upgrading to a BMIP since Xsplit doesn’t recognize the HDMI input of my Aver card, but I don’t want to shell out $200 just to have the same issue with the BMIP.
Either the Aver or Happauge $100ish cards.
HDMI works fine in Xsplit with my intensity, you just have to make sure you change the input method to HDMI from the capture card’s settings application first.
Awesome, thanks. Going to toss it on my xmas list and see what happens.
for blackmagic purposes is there software that records similar to the default program that the driver comes with, and it doesn’t desync the audio. I would rather not downgrade drivers if there is a work around.
Have you tried VirtualDub already?
I’m hoping you knowledgeable people might be able to help me out with this. I went to a Best Buy and asked a dude about a good capture card for a ps3 that would allow me to stream as well. He pointed me in the direction of the Aver Media GameCap HD. Looked it up and I’ve read some reviews and it looks like it’s mostly just for capture and not really for streaming. Is this a good product for cap/streaming or is this purely for capture? o_O
I’m thinking of starting a stream of me trying uselessly to ascend the ranks of the online world of Marvel.
The Aver can stream fine. There should be no major issues with it. I don’t know a ton about setting them up though.
The only other question that I have, is that it looks like the device captures either right to a internal or external HDD. Is it possible to get it right to the PC so I’m able to stream? I’m like 100% clueless on this whole topic…
Sorry, it appears I had this confused with another card. My bad. This device(from what I know of) is not able to stream.
This was the device I was thinking of:

They are the same price so that should not be an issue.
