This one. Works great, about the size of two Smartphones stacked up. Doesn’t come with extra HDMI cables, don’t forget to buy some.

I tried muting Xsplit and I was getting no sound on my stream, I have the audio directly from the Xbox to the hauppauge and then I’m screen capping the Media Xtreme with Xsplit. Also I don’t know if this has anything to do with it but I’m using 2 monitors you guys can see my stream archive in my channel twitch.tv/theanswerkof.
When you mute your audio on xSplit, it mutes all audio coming into it. You have to manually adjust the audio levels on your computer if you want a certain program to play audio or not. Just click on your audio mixer and adjust what ever levels you want.
Just read this. You aren’t watching your own stream on Justin.tv, are you? If you were doing this, you would get echoes because your computer is playing the audio from your stream through your speakers, thus playing it back through the stream. You can’t watch your stream with the audio turned on.
Thanks so I bought the matrox is there any little things I should be aware of when using this that might cause issues

Having a minor issue with FMLE and was hoping for some advice, it’s not a huge deal and I’m happy with my stream but when I check the encoding log, it shows that all of my streams go out at 30 FPS. I’ll be playing games at 60 FPS, with VHScrCap set to capture at 60 FPS, FMLE is set to stream at 60 FPS, but when it actually goes to stream the stats only show that it sends out 30. Any ideas as to what I’m missing?
FMLE most of the time does not handle the framerate, its all up to the capture device and what it’s set to. Make sure to configure VHScrCap to capture at 60fps within FMLE source configuration and within the program itself. My suggestion is to not stream at 60fps, its not worth the use of resources and degradation of video quality.
im stuck at a crossoroad here.
i brought an elgato video capture card for my macbook and a distribution amplifier. i have everything correct expect on problem. the VGA cable don’t have a video composite cable to feed out the video to the amplifier. so i can hear the sound just fine but the video won’t show up on my capture card software. it was a oversight on my part and idk how to fix this problem. is there a VGA cable that also has a video composite cable i can connect to? or do i have to do something different?
Hey guys, I got a slight problem here that I don’t believe was covered in this thread. Ok so I’m trying to stream off my PS3 (first time streaming through PS3) but I can’t seem to split the signal. My setup is as follows:
PS3 > HDMI splitter > Trail 1 & 2
Trail 1: Monitor
Trail 2: HDCP Stripping HDMI to Component Converter > Hauppauge HD PVR > Computer
Now the problem is that if I don’t have the cord going from the splitter to the converter plugged in I get picture on the monitor. Aside from some very small static that happens like small blinks like a twinkle everything is fine. It’s when I plug in the hdmi cable to the converter. I then get no signal what so ever. Everything goes black. Now I have used this splitter with my 360 for some years now and everything has been ok. It’s only now that I want to stream from my PS3 that all this is happening. I have plugged the PS3 directly in to the converter and have had no problems. Any help would be great, thanks.
This is the splitter I am currently using:

You probably need a HDPC handshake between the splitter and the monitor that isn’t happening.
Anyway to make this happen?

get a powered HDCP compliant hdmi splitter like the one i showed you :looney:
or try to connect all the parts first before turning on the ps3 ,tv. and hdmi converter
Link it to me again plox.

Nah man that shit is not going to work, trust me that was the first one I bought. To split HDMI you need a power splitter like this one
it’s a 1 to 4 and it’s only a few more bucks than the 1 to 2, who knows you might need the extra outputs in the future.
From that product’s description page:
NOTE: It is STRONGLY recommended NOT to use this passive splitter with longer lengths of HDMI cables. Also, since passive splitters do not negotiate individual handshakes between connected devices and do not pass HDCP information back to the source device, passive splitters are not recommended for most home theater applications. For home theater applications, using an active or powered splitter is highly recommended. If you’re looking for a 1x2 HDMI splitter for a home theater application, we recommend using product ID 4921.
Thanks for the responses guys. Striderzer0 linked me to this one:
One he uses and I can confirm that it works since we streamed some Skullgirls footage this way a couple weeks back. Thanks to everyone for their input.

You wanted a cheaper splitter and other people have said they used that one.
This is the one I have
Ok so I have the hdpvr1212 and when I use vhs screencap with wirecast it shows upsidedown and only half the screen anyone find a solution to it? I searched google and couldn’t find an answer
try going to Sources > “Show Source Settings…” Click on VhScrCap from the System devices list then set Capture size to native then open the “Configure…” then configure it how you would normally then close the config. The preview should look normal, if not you may need to try it a few times.
