Maybe they should sponsor with money or other prizes? Giving a tournament winner a stick is like giving a chess tournament winner a chess board. Dude obviously doesn’t need it. Now if the stick was in someway special, different, custom (hell just custom art of whatever tournament it’s been given at) shit would be different. But at this point you’re just cluttering that dude’s room. Ask Dios X. Dude had to sell sticks because he won 7 of them last year in tournaments and he said “Why do I need more sticks? I already used mine to win the tournament”

Edit: Rethinking about what I wrote and honestly, having the tournament offer a TE stick with that tournament’s logo and art on the stick would be pretty sweet. The stick then becomes a trophy which I guess would be more difficult to hock.
