There’s nothing to actually discuss sans Valaris’ point that sticks as prizes for first place may not be the best option and are fueling many of the raffles.The only thing happening is what has always happened: The Cannons try their best to babysit a bunch of grown ass men who try to make their lives harder. Instead of a couple of people getting kicked out of the USB campus for playing poker with money they could instead accidentally trigger a federal case since they are holding raffles online and are not paying attention to where they mail things. TO’s risk bringing bad attention to the local communities if they were to be prosecuted in their states.
Like I said, there is absolutely nothing to discuss other than The Cannon’s constant baby sitting and a lot of fool acting. I guess the big question is: why they let Keits hold raffles in his tournament?

For what it’s worth there wasn’t a raffle that was done where the ticket you got for it was for the raffle alone iirc. You got a ticket for entering the tournament that came with the venue fee, there was a free raffle ticket you got for attending a panel, and raffle tickets you got for playing stuff at the fun and games station (balrog ball, divekick, etc.).

You’re not paying to be in the raffle. You’re paying for something else and are entered in the raffle because of it.

I agree that the “sponsored” gamers with no jobs who live in a 4k/month house who use raffles to fund their lifestyle are pathetic, like Fchamp etc
HOWEVER, Justin Wong is NOT one of them. Mago was stranded without a passport, who offered to let Mago stay at his house for free for TWO WEEKS? Justin Wong did.
Justin Wong rarely streams these days, he only streamed those few days that Mago was at his house, cuz a lot of viewers wanted to watch Mago. Then someone else broke Justin’s computer. His computer would not have been broken in the first place if he didn’t generously let Mago stay at his house.
So bottom line, when “Complexity is a great sponsor” Fchamp and Fanatiq do raffles and beg for donations, even though they are sponsored, win thousands of $$$ in tourney and money matches, while not having a job, is that pathetic? Yes it is.
But Justin Wong does not do that sort of stuff. In fact, last year Jwong had a full-time job at Nexon and had to juggle competitive fighting games into his schedule.
