If someone picks blanka or vega in a tournament I’m not picking thawk I’m picking my alt. Vega is not as bad as blanka but I still feel more comfortable with my alt.

I understand waht you’re saying but tourneys aren’t always accesible distance or money wise. In my case its mostly the latter. I COULD go to GGA but it’d take over 2 hours to get there AND once I was there I couldn’t get back home. See my dilema here?
Got 5th at the tournament I went to today. Two wins away from top 3. 
I’m salty, gotta level up before T12. The vids of me should be up this week though, I played on stream 3 times.
Tournament bound in about 2 weeks. Its a relatively small one in the Minneapolis area, but I’m in no position to be picky. Gonna rep the Hawk and I hope that–win or lose–I get over that wall that I’ve run into.
And if I win, the profit (anything more than reimbursement venue fee and tourney registration) will go to the charity Child’s Play, per the agreement that I made with myself. Not necessarily expecting to get out of there in the money, but that’s not going to stop me from giving it all.

Yeah. I had the money where I could have went to Evo, and I nearly decided to do that, but that’d have left me near-broke, and I’m graduating college this spring, and I’m having issues getting into my work study job. I need money.
I guess you could whore yourself out? Sell a kidney? Do stupid daredevilish acts for money? I like the last one.

You explain how you would have beat Poongko in that match from EVO, you say you’ll body any T.Hawk etc etc.
A lot of people have been playing and struggling, to play Hawk at a tourney level longer than you have in multiple SF’s…yet you backhanded diss us every chance you get.
I know you might mean well but, your not helping the Thunderfoot Ghetto…your just talking shit most of time about how good you are…

I have been to ECT, 2,3 Summer Jam 4, various guard crush events and am a regualar at KOTC events, Guard Crush, 8otb…etc…
ECT 3 was the first major I officially entered as my name. I was known as Interobang ( entered as !?) for a while and was a Sagat player. I spent a year watching match videos etc before I jumped into SF4, Super was my first full time SF game.
The thing is I try harder than a lot of people in this community and expect a lot of play and the players of my character. Why baffled me … and still does is that we have good hawk players…really good hawk players that never play out. I am literally the best T.Hawk player on the East coast now because no one else plays him. I go online, I keep track of the entire community I know every T.Hawk player, almost… I try to find them at tournys, locals etc. What troubles me, and still does is the turnout we have as a community… And it just does not make sense to the fact we have amazing thawk players, some of which are above and away where I am right now but they just dont play out for what ever reason and it baffles me.
I have a lot of mixed feelings about this community but I still stick by you guys, regardless.
The T.Hawk community is small but I know we can have better turnouts…
I’ve been using hawk in cleveland tournies, but they aren’t real big or anything. I’ll be at Seasons beatings though
I’m gonna start using hawk in denver tournaments. First major (fingers crossed) will be SoCal regionals.
Whenever I start getting close and training for anything remotely competitive, I start to struggle pulling off Ultra II. Tournament this Friday. Gonna be bad if this keeps up. It shouldnt take me 10 minutes to be able to pull of U2 10 times in a row…
What if we like being an Internet warrior? It’s actually funny, being an Internet warrior has gotten me somewhat well known in the tri-state area. Last tourney I went to, there were a ton of people coming up and shaking my hand, saying they like my videos and should make more.
See, I really wish I could compete, but there are no tournaments near me. The closest ones are casuals in Minneapolis that are 3hrs away. I’m stuck in the unemployment loop of the economy right now so any of the payouts they have here would barely cover gas. It sucks.
So my only option is being an internet warrior.
T12 next weekend. Anyone going other than me?
