A BnB is a “Bread and Butter” combo. Basically it’s just the best combo that character has to offer that is known to be damaging and easy to use/abuse.
I hope that’s what you’re looking for.

I think that contacting Tilt and trying to make the place more worthwhile is a great idea. But I think it’s important to take a measured approach in what we request, in order to avoid coming off like selfish fanboys. Instead of bombarding the Tilt management with a list packed with obscure(to them)/potentially pricey/import titles and unfamiliar configurations maybe it would be a better idea to focus on a few games with domestic releases and work from there. ST should just be there anyway, along with 3s, and both have a pretty respectable following. As far as import titles are concerned, Slash should obviously be the first priority. We’d be incredibly lucky to get the rest.
Thing is, there just really isn’t much of an audience for games like Melty Blood or Hokuto no Ken, and trying to promote games that people aren’t already interested in is pointless. I mean, shit, it was just Aaron and I on the KoFXI cabinet Thursday night and there were about 20 people there just for Tekken 5: DR tournament – basically meaning they would rather watch Tekken than try out KoF(which is fine, no game is for everybody). Shmups are fun and all, but who really plays them around here? Gundam too. We can’t expect the place to turn into Akihabara jr. overnight or something when we don’t have a sufficient interest level.
Good point. I think if we could get a 3rd Strike Machine and maybe a MVS w/ Mark of the Wolves, whatever Metal Slug, and maybe a puzzle game we would be lucky. I would love to see Guilty Gear Slash, Fist of the North Star, or Vitura Fighter 5 personally. I just wonder how many St. Louis folks will play.
On the Kof front though. It may not be as popular as Tekken, but if you tend to throw in some good matches the crowds will come. A lot of it I’ve seen has to do w/ a lot of us wanting to get used to the game (myself included) rather then wasting the tokens. I was up there Thursday as well for a bit and at least there were a few people on the machine. We just need to get more intense w/ the matches.

If they get ST and people actually wanted to play more than 1-2 games. I would try to make an effort to come up there on thursdays (I’m assuming thats the day of the week when folks are up there now n days).
With no console release for the game yet, the only way you can play is by paying the tokens. People shouldn’t be shy about asking to test moves or practicing combos for a short amount of time. More intense matches will come once there are some people who actually know what they’re doing. We’re all scrubs at this point.
Damn, I wish SNKP USA wasn’t going to waste time by releasing Neowave here. There’s no point when KoFXI is such a better product overall.
Drew - I think people are up at NWP thu, fri, and sat. It’s just that the Tekken weeklies are on Thursday.

They can’t seem to figure out why their entire consumer base in the US consists of a bunch of fat geektron 20-somethings who burn thousands on absurdly overpriced secondhand neo carts and cabinets when all of their recent KoF ports have had crippling input problems and random crashing, Max Impact is a generic 3D fighter and broken as hell, and they refuse to release anything from their almost legendary back catalog.
