Sticking to Super? Jumping ship to MAHVEL? Why&why not?

Alex Valle has been playing SF for literally two decades.

Yea and so have a ton of people, but that doesn’t mean they are insanely good at the game either.

Valle admitted to spending his entire days at the arcade when he was younger. That shit counts. But I agree, efficiency is key.

And to be fair(to myself) I originally posted this thread in the Super section. Did not think it should be in the MVC3 one.

no you posted this shit on the FGD section

Im going to stick with ssf4 I might try mvc3 out but I wont get into the game as much as I have for ssf4. In my opinion mvc3 is a tad bit too much. too much flashiness im pretty sure the learning curve wont be too hard to get over learning 3 cool characters.

i like all the excuses that people came out because they feel intimidated of a game
there is no such thing as too flashy

I think it could be a valid reason. Some people don’t like the adrenaline rush type games.

I say the same thing as always, play what you like to play and quit bitching about everything you don’t play. For me I will be playing both SSF4 and MvC3.

the most popular characters in sf4 are always the offensive based characters that can potentially own anyone in a small amount of time. i don’t believe that at all.

yeah right dude

I’m pretty much dropping Super while I wait for AE. Even then I’ll still mostly be playing Marvel. Game is too good.

there is way too much hype for marvel to ignore. screw mortal kombat. always resented that series even though i have most of the games. im also tired of super because it feels to random online. until AE comes out, im on top marvel. but when ae does come out, ill probably split my time between both.

Not doing either. Lack of money.

It was originally in Super, THEN got moved to FGD, THEN got moved to MvC3 section. I should know, I was one of the first replies when I saw it in the SSF4 section.

damn its like no one wants this thread in their sections:rofl:
well responding the topic, i droped ssf4 when BBCS came out (actually i droped it like 2 months after the release, GGAC forever)
now that mvc3 is coming i really doubt that i will playing sf4, and yes i will get ae patch but by that time i hope that kofxiii get its release so sf4 wouldnt be touched again, lol

I sense a troll. Could I a be wrong?

First being offensive in SF4 has ZERO to do with the speed and flashiness of the game. Second, last I checked Rog, Ryu, Sagat (In van), Ken, etc are not the most offensive characters in the game. If people were going for the most offensive characters then Cammy, Akuma, Rufus, and Viper would get played more often.

I’ll still be playing Super, just a little less because of MVC3.

After playing SFIV and SSFIV almost non-stop for the past 3+ years, I’m a little burnt out on it. MVC3 should definitely help remedy that.

Yeah I’m lying, you caught me. I did post this in the FGD section.

WRONG

I did put this in the Super section, Sosage moved it to FGD and I don’t know who moved it here but yes, I felt it belonged in the Super section. Nevertheless, i find it funny you think I’d lie about where I post a thread.

I may pick up Marvel Vs Capcom 3 but I’m still kinda undecided. Some friends are also getting the game so I may just borrow it from them first and see if I like it. But any game with Deadpool and Modok on the roster sure makes me want to keep my money in my pocket.

I’m absolute crap at fighting games, so even if I play it for a long time, I’ll always just play it casually. I know when I throw in SSIV I still refuse to not sort games under “my skill level,” which tends to work out most of the time for me. I’m extra scared of this game, as I can’t even remember basic combos in SF, and in this game a basic combo has like 15 inputs in it…

My plan is to main Mahvel with SSFIV on the side currently. Will have to see how it goes.
