Man, I remember reading your good bye post.
Way to ruin the magic.

Isnt your avatar’s character from India? The place where their government wants the population of 1.2 billion people to have their hands, eyes, and face biometrically scanned and placed into a corporate government database… nuff said.

This is a smear campaign by Sony executives.

What I hate about corporations is that they down size to save money and then are surprised because don’t have enough money to buy their products so they have to downsize again …end the cycle
This is capitalism. Profit at any cost, so long as it’s not at the cost of MONEY. Money is god.
Breaking it down for you mother fuckers…

Real talk homie… Im in a situation that is best defined by this vid also, I dont know the age of the people of srk but im 33 and i can tell you first hand that a lot of people lack the commonsense to see whats going on here. Truth is they will never know or do not want to know till its they’re job/house/kids education/debt…etc…then their up in arms and yelling fuck the system but ill go to the protest tomorrow cause the new mac is coming out today. I dont want to get all political on a fighting forum but please I beg you all ,stay informed and educated on the real world/geo politics and plan ahead because you will not understand what I mean till it’s your kids health insurance being cut or you’re being strong armed robbed by your bank or your union sides with the corporation that almost killed you …All while you made THEM money.
It gets old after a while doesn’t it?

Aw shit son, I read this thread on my ipad.
Just sitting here chilling playing xbox on the 52 inch Sony Bravia because I can do that.
I think you miss the point of why people revere Steve Jobs like they do. Sure he made a lot of great stuff (and I do agree about the Chinese slave labor issue, but I think it has a lot to do with China and their government not cracking down on that sort of thing because they want to be major players too and don’t give a shit really) but he did what he wanted. And when people told him he couldn’t do something, he told them to fuck themselves and tried to do it anyway. It’s that “I’m gonna do it my way come hell or high water” attitude that most people seem to like about him. It’s why people admire guys like Jobs, Prince, John Lennon, Miles Davis, etc. Because they did what they wanted and they were good at it.
There are only two ways in which putting all of those people in the same sentence makes any sense at all.
- To find which item doesn’t belong
- To display that it’s one thing to build on musical advances by others, and another thing to “build” on ideas to make money.
It is a publicly known fact that Apple owns more money than the US Federal Treasury Department. Now, I would never make the point that the US government spends it’s money wisely (I mean, come on), but certainly more wisely than Apple, who have not bothered with charitable efforts at all for the longest time.
tl;dr: the world is a better place without Steve Jobs and people need to stop buying their shiny crap. But they won’t because zombies (just look at SFxT subforum, same principle).
Sony is a much worse company than Apple.
The vendors are worse than the manufacturer and the true root of most of the problems you see. And by vendor, I mean WAL MART.
It was a list I came up with off the top of my head. I picked musicians because I’m a musician and it was an easy list to pull. What’s the difference between building on musical advances and on ideas? In either situation you’re taking what has come before and improving on it. Jobs was influenced by music and musicians (Lennon being one of them from what I’ve heard.)
And? Apple has no more obligation to spend its money wisely than you or I do. What’s your source for Apple not having bothered with charitable efforts? And just out of curiosity, how much money have YOU given away to charity lately?
Says the guy on a fighting game forum who’s probably sitting 15 feet from a console made by Microsoft or Sony. Blah blah blah…
My source is google, I’d suggest you do your own research as there is a lot of it. He, as a private person, may have donated, yes. However, Apple stopped giving to charity a long time ago when it wasn’t going so well…that was a long-ass time ago. Now that he’s dead, Apple start their charitable efforts again. And how much have I given recently? Not that it’s of any importance to the topic at hand, but I’ve given about 5EUR to local homeless/unemployed in the past week (1.80€ for a magazine homeless can sell to earn some money, the rest in change), and I don’t have any income right now. It’s not much, but it’s more than the 0 currency 80% of this planet’s population donate. Ever.
“Blah blah blah” is correct. I don’t own an Xbox arcade, Xbox elite, Xbox slim and an Xbox 20gb, so what those companies have to do with anything, I do not know.
If you’re trying to make the point that none of these giants of the industry have clean records, well yeah, point made, that’s a given. But I could not find multiple records of ultra-thin patent claims by Sony or Microsoft with the intention of hurting their competitors, not to mention some of the even more shady “business techniques” Apple allegedly commited to.
Oh shit, Sony Legend! Where the hell have you been?! Does this mean Septimus Prime is coming back too?!
