I can’t get Doom’s theme out of my head, it’s my favorite remix so far. Storm’s is really nice, though I still prefer her COTA on the Blackbird theme.
Just updated my eSnips MvC3 Themes folder with Storm, She Hulk and C.Viper’s themes (0-day looped music releases FTW!).
Remember, you’ll need something that plays the ADX file format. I use, and recommend VGMStream for WinAmp.
I still haven’t done this for everyone’s themes yet, but I suppose if I really had to, I could.
I’m liking Storm’s theme, but, what the hell happen to Viper’s theme?! Not like they ever needed to change much with it. It probably would have been a fine fit even if it wasn’t remixed. All they really needed to do was make some minor changes, like with Dante’s theme, to match the game’s tempo.
like i said
capcom just has techno on the brain -_____-
and had to techno remix viper’s theme
I like Storm’s theme, but Viper’s took a dive.
Storm should have had her COTA theme
Oh god nevermind… C Viper theme is so watered down! I just heard the full version on the site. UGH!!!
Storm’s theme WINS! and I can’t stop listening to Dr.Doom’s theme…shit goes SOOO HARD! it’s the perfect remix.
Yeah, agreed. But the remix to her XvSF theme isn’t bad.
I love the smell of themes in the mornin’.
Wow! I just spent like a whole hour listening to all of the themes.
Does anyone else find Chun Li’s theme seriously annoying? I mean I never liked it, but now it gives me headaches. Viewtiful Joe’s sounds like it was ripped straight from his game. Doom and Spiderman’s themes don’t even seem like they were written for them. Oh yeah, whats up with C.Viper’s? It seriously gets weird a couple minutes in. Ryu and Captain America’s are downright awesome though.
Overall I think Capcom did a pretty great job with the themes. Every theme feels unique and has something special in it. It seems like Capcom is putting the maximum effort into this game’s every little detail. Although they do often make odd choices.
This game needs more jazz.
I dunno, Joe’s theme sounds very different from the original. It was actually TvC who ripped the theme exactly from his game and stuck it in. Listen to that then listen to MvC3’s remix. Very… uh, different.
I like the themes, a lot seem to be going for the electric/arcadey/techno vibe which is cool once you get used to it.
Incorrect. The farther we move away from MvC2’s atrocious soundtrack the better.
It doesn’t have to be exactly like mvc2, but it needs more jazz. I don’t know why people hate on jazz.
I don’t hate jazz per se… I’m just not particularly fond of MvC2’s Jazz. It felt like filler music they scrapped together because they didn’t have enough time to scramble together some themes or make songs that fit the stages.
If you don’t like Jazz you don’t like music.
EDIT: Ninja’d nevermind.
Oh, your right. It’s been a long time since I’ve played any of the VJ’s. I just sounded really similar to me, so I assumed it was the same.
It’s all good, bro. Still a pretty good mix.
i wish they used chuns . that was her best one by far.
they should have used wolvies for mvc3. it fits him so well and have a ominous feel to it, like you’re gonna be shanked up.
and magnetos instead of his xvsf remix.
Chuns Theme in the Vs Series were kinda random. In xvsf her theme was a remix of her sf2 theme then in MSHVSF her theme was completely original
