that tac is practical. really, everything is but the triple repulsor ender is pretty damn hard.

My main question is what are the combos if you don’t do a forward or down tag into Iron Man? I notice all these fancy TAC combos revolve around up tagging but WTF to do when they mash up counter?

also, are the combos character specific? cause i was trying to get one of these off but i kept wiffing the D+H after the j.L
and if i cant get that to hit then the combo seems suspect against cartain sized characters.

yeah, the tacs are a bit character specific. omit the second smart bomb on smaller characters. the main fly part and finisher work on everyone. also, use j.B instead of j.A. it’s an easier link than you’d expect.
dj: side exchange doesn’t let iron man hit his swag shit because he gets pushed too far away by the bombs. you basically have to go for a fly loop. i’ve got a couple more variations and a couple of different tony combos, but i’m saving those for my next video. haha
What about down? You get similar swag off the down or at least better than the forward?
you can get the same combo, but you’ll be too low to air dash at the end so you have to end it a little bit early.

i know its asking a bit much… but you could you notate that and /or the less optimized works on every chracter version… it will save me having to replay the video 100X with pencil in hand, or just the non optimized version… PWEEAASE!!

Gah my video is so close to done with the more general version but I’ve had so little free time to edit these last couple clips, notation for the more general up tac is mh, l smart bombs, l down h l smart bombs, l h fly, m h l smart bombs, mh l smart bombs, mh air dash up mhs.
I tried to do this combo of yours, but I couldn’t get the l, h part after the second SB before fly to connect, I get the l to hit but IM falls too fast for the h. Also I can not link m after SB during fly.
Hence I have simplified your combo to just this, which is easy to do for crap players like myself: m, h xx l SB, l, d/h xx fly, m, h xx l SB, l, h xx l SB, l, h xx ADU, m, h, s
It still do decent damage I think (about 300-350K, I am not too sure), and easy enough to do.
edit: OK, I got it. I was hitting the l too late after the first SB. But using m instead of l during the SB loop is really hard, timing is very tight compare to l and it only did like 2k more damage:(

Those delay h air to air combos are hard. Even a top player like Joker struggles to hit them in a match. His control over Iron Man’s movement is incredible, he makes IM looks like threat and fast. Joker is hands down the best IM player in UMVC3.

I honestly think Joker has the best air hit confirm ever, he seems to be able to turn every super jump air hit into combos. I want to see Joker against Fanatiq one day. They both have very stylish Magneto, and confirms off literally any random hit into big combo.
Dark IM comeback was funny though.

He posts once in a great while, RDK does too and they play together pretty often.
So I went to the FADC video archive to try and find UMVC3 Iron Man videos, and the only two were from Marvisto.

He seems like a pretty solid player and has a good grasp of Iron Man and his team. Still it would be nice to get more videos of Iron Man on there.
There is a ton of good footage of Danke’s Iron Man on YouTube. I might make a YouTube playlist of talented Iron Man players at some point.
