I actually like the old zergling attack sound effect better, especially when fully upgraded. It’s just so gratifying to hear the DPS go to work. It’s like landing a fierce in World Warrior; shit sounds like a gunshot.
So, what’s your opinion on the shell life of SC2? Given that it’s a bit of the same ol same ol, think it will be as popular till the next expansion comes out?
Will new units be added to multiplayer with each part of he sequel? I really want the defiler and the lurker for the Zerg army.
Im guessing they will since they did it with broodwar

Please note that I suck terribly.
Alright I’m back from Vegas and I think I have the list updated. Gotta get some games in so I don’t get rusty from not having played in a few days!
Add me: Catchafire #835
I’m not that good 1v1, but looking to play some games for fun…
Get new friends.
I just hit Gold. I’m starting to feel really challenged.
The games draw out a lot longer and I’m not used to playing a game that lasts longer than 15 minutes. I don’t know what to do after I expand, I’m usually hella behind.
infesters also own marines pretty hard. i was told that they have a aoe snare that does 40+ dmg as a dot. so like 2-3 of them will be nice against marines and speedlings will own marauders. hope that helps baneling also helps early on.
So I’ve decided to stop playing some ranked matches and decided instead to just spend time learning some standard build orders against each race and practicing BOs until I have one per race down to where I can build them without thinking about it.
ZvT - 1 Base Mutalisk
ZvP - 2 Hatch Hydra
Still not sure on a ZvZ matchup because I’ve never really played one… is this just a league kind of thing or are there not as many Zerg players overall?
damn dude you must be super pro now
i haven’t been playing much, go easy on me when we 1v1 again
wth do i do against a marine/marauder push as toss…ugh =/
I have trouble with this too. My guess would be either to have a colossus or 2 in the back while your zealots/stalkers do their thing or sneak a few dts in your army and hope they don’t notice. The real problem with countering terran is that you have no fucking clue what they’re gonna do early on. I can only hope to stop expansions and starve them which is my current strategy against other races as well.
Use sentries to block your ramp and start building immortals while also building a robotics bay. Once you have 2-3 immortals and a colossus en route you can start to push out in a hard way.
yeah the marauder marine shit owns me hard too. i’ve found that its always better to be offensive than turtling up in that situation. if i see they wall in, i try to get an observer quickly, and start harassing their wall in with stalkers. in the meantime i make warp gates, a proxy pylon, then once i have enough army, i blink in their base and keep harassing. theoretically you should be able to keep your army alive since stalkers with blink are way faster than marine marauders plus you have observers so you’ve got better recon.
but my micro sucks and i always play while high so it doesn’t always work out. practice makes perfect
This is Husky talking about how to counter marauders as Protoss.

When dealing with early Marauders with Concussive Shells in PvT, it seems like you really need each of the three Gateway units for different reasons. If you get pure Stalkers, you’re gonna be taking extra damage from each Marauder shot. You need a Zealot to chase the Marauder and soak up shots so your Stalker doesn’t get slowed down while firing. Sentries are also helpful, not only because of Force Field (which you can use to cut his forces in half or just keep him from kiting your units), but Guardian Shield is also nice if you have the energy left over for it.
Starcraft is a stressfull game… It’s not the kind of game you come home and play after a hard day at work…
To beat MM, do a quick tech to robo while pressuring/scouting with early stalkers/zealots (I usually do 1 gate-1 robo-2nd gate). If you see they have a heavy infantry army, poke and make a second gateway ASAP. Don’t be afraid of concussive shell and try not to lose more than 1 stalker. Get sentries and an immortal to block off an early push. If you feel they will continue to go heavy infantry, tech to colossus and continue to make zealots/stalkers/sentries. If the game draws out over this, get high templars and do drops to mess up their economy. I had serious trouble in this matchup before but once you learn to defend that first push, the matchup is much easier.
