I bet theyâll be shorter. I think they have more impact when they arenât 20 minutes long.
I always thought of them in a symbolic way. Like if you look at Obi Wan Vaderâs first saber duel on Ep IV, it wasnât super flashy or anything yet it doesnât take anything from the scene. When I saw Anakin vs Obi Wan on Ep III like I could see why they would wanted it to be âepicâ but imo didnât like them fighting like power rangers for 10 mins.

One of the most memorable Lightsaber duels for me was in the 2D Star Wars : Clone Wars (2003).
Anakin was lured to some Jungle planet by Asajj Ventress so she could kill him. Asajj would try to hide in the trees above to sneak attack from multiple directions and try catching him off-guard, when that didnât work then she attacked him head-on.
It was animated, but the attention to detail on Lightsabers like them emitting a certain amount of light in the dark on the wielderâs face. The eventual standoff between Anakin and Asajj when it slowly started to rain, how the raindrops would evaporate on their Lightsabers and create a little bit of steam/smoke in the air.
Thatâs one thing Iâd like to see in future movies, just showing how Lightsabers and Blasters can effect the chosen environment/battlefield as a whole would be really interesting.
The 2003 Clone Wars Cartoon was gdlk and everything needs to be like it.
Every time I watch it, it reminds me of how pissed I was about Episode I-III.
