It feels to me that may SW fans were mad at this trilogy bc the leads we’re more diverse - a white girl,a black man,and a Hispanic guy. Is that a majority view?
My main problems we’re the casino sub plot,Rey’s overpowered /effortless force ownage,and Smoke being defeated easily and without much backstory or buildup.

Today there are cell phones, Crazy Birds, and Fortnite.

Much of toy sales decline is from Toy R us going out of business and youngers are more interesting in mommy’s smart phone and less on toys.
Yea the toy section at my work gets smaller every month. Its mostly just nerf guns no one can afford and really cheap figures anymore.

I think that is is for some. Let’s be real, there was triggering due to a black Stormtrooper being featured in TFA’s teaser. Mainly I think that its because the formula to the movies was changed. Things with certain characters were done a certain way. People (fans) “own” that character and what they are supposed to be. The powers that be went another direction. Some liked it and others loathe it. I can be objective and see why some hate it. If you want the same thing again, and got something demonstrably different it would piss you off. This seems very similar to how the fandom was when Beast Wars came out (TRUKK NOT MUNKY).
Sidenote, the second issue you mentioned is another issue I have. However I look to that as a JJ issue than RJ. Snoke didn’t bother me since Palpatine was a similar foil until the prequels gave him relevance. Check the credits for the OT. McDiarmid was just listed as The Emperor till 1999.

In Ep 4/5/6, are the storm troopers clones of Jango Fett or unique individuals?
Why didn’t Vader recognize C3P0 in 5? He built him in TPM.
Cloning was eventually ramped down after Order 66. Regular people were able to sign up. Hence why in the OT they are the worst shots ever

I’m just going out on a bullshit limb to explain bullshit but at the end of RotS as Anakin awoke as Vader it was clear he had some sort of amnesia. That is likely why he doesn’t recognize him.
On the subject of Beast Wars, i Love me some beast Transformers! G1 TerrorCons/Abominus is one of my all-time favorite G1 Decepticons.
Problem in Beast Wars, they were too “organic” looking. With scales, fur, etc. They took the idea of “disguise” a little too seriously, looking like plain animals. No cool robot bits hanging on the side, cannons, etc. Just looked like regular animals.
