I think CGI is ok but when the entire movie is filmed in front of a green screen and nothing is really there is makes the actors act very odd as they have to react to things they can’t even see and have to converse with people in green suits. I think this is one of the reasons the prequel trilogy had such odd acting from generally good actors and because Lucas just isn’t a good director and doesn’t understand how to get good performances from actors. Just look at a movie like Labrinth, that movie is really old but since most of the characters are puppets and sets it still looks really good in HD.

I’m a little nervous about the black character. Every scene they’ve showed him in he’s either running, panicking, nervous, anxious or straight up scared.
Needing to be helped up by the hero jedi white chick didn’t help either.

He wasn’t anything close to a furry, he just happened to have blue skin. He was an “alien” though, but he’s also a crazy awesome character if you read the books about him.

I am not digging the animation style of Rebels. Looks unfinished and too cartoony. What’s up with the pencil thin light sabers? Is this some kind of tribute to the laughable New Hope light sabre effects?
Yes. It’s not just those, if you look at some of the other laser effects, they too are a bit “flatter” and look more like the effects seen in the original trilogy.

I never watched more than a few episodes of the clone wars cartoon I knew it was geared for kids, but wasn’t really into it regardless does it get better? That season 2 trailer looked interesting, not a fan of the art style though looks too much like a poor man’s Toy Story, doesn’t have that sci fi look to it.
And I’m curious am I the only one excited to see Visceral’s new Star Wars game lead by Amy Hennig? If it lives up to that potential it could be one of the best third person action games ever. Dead Space+Uncharted+Star Wars…really have high hopes for this one.
