^^ Pretty much. The Last Jedi was such a crappy sequel that it killed my interest in episode 9.
In addition to it’s many problems, you also bring up a good point that TLJ blew it’s load on everything too early. Snoke is gone, Knights of Ren are gone, the Luke stuff is done, all the compelling mysteries Force Awakens built up were either forgotten or put to bed in the laziest way possible, etc.
What’s left for Episode 9 to get me excited? Yet another Rey Vs Kylo Ren confrontation?
The Episode 9 reviews better be damned good, or it’ll be the very first Star Wars movie i skip in theaters. Then again, i’m not hyped for this Han Solo, cash-grab flick either. So i guess episode 9 will be the 2nd Star Wars flick i skip.
Another Rey Vs Kylo Ren fight…yawn…
I certainly don’t give a rats ass about how the Rose/Finn stuff will play out. And i hope they don’t even bother with Phasma again. At this point the Phasma/Finn “arc” is embarrassing.
Better than 92 percent on RT? And LOL at you skipping any Star Wars movie. You know you’re going to be here talking about how much you hated it and how done you are with Star Wars forever, and it’s going to be just as hilarious as it is now.
The Millenium Falcon is just a modified version of a very common cargo frigate.
Han Solo’s ship if it was an automobile is just a Cargo Van you see a plumber or Carpenter uses with a Sports Car Engine and a Hummer transmission inside.
It supposed to be common piece of Junk in the original trilogy, and it was confused for an absolute pile of junk in TFA. Even in Legends the Millenium Falcon was a hooptie with slick engine inside.
This is basically what Han Solo’s Ship would look like as an automobile
The people that hate the movie definitely give a fuck. Lets not blow smoke here. If they didn’t, there wouldn’t be so much anger right now. People are passionately mad as hell. That’s the epitome of giving a fuck.
I forgot to add this in my list:
Where was Rey’s character growth?
In ESB, Luke learned by the greatest teacher of all - failure. Did Rey fail at all? I don’t think she did.
At least in the prequels, Anakin and Obi-Wan were beaten by Dooku in AotC and came back and best him in RotS. There was none of that here in TLJ.
All Hail Rey! She can do no wrong! /sarcasm
Honestly, I think there is going to be 3 to 5 year time skip. It will give them a way to explain Leia passing away of screen. Also it will allow a believable amount of time for the Rebels to build a force that conceivably pose a threat to the First Order. I have a feeling we’ll see more force users than Kylo and Rey.
My guess is they didn’t want to do the cliche of killing off a char because their actor/actress passed away irl. But seriously, that whole thing with her and purple haired feminist cunt was just to please the feminists. They all came so hard seeing Leia wake up and zap Poe.
“You inferior male being, you aren’t worthy of knowing the plan!”
Which is also why it prob got such high ratings imo. Lots of big female roles in this one, which I have no problem with. The problem is with the shitty writing.
Did you not watch the movie? [details=Spoiler]Rey tried to turn Kylo and failed miserably. She ended up helping him take over the First Order. Sounds like failure to me.[/details]
didn’t they both confront the Sith? Obi Wan left him for dead (perhaps a mistake out of sympathy) while Yoda couldn’t beat Palpatine. They also had Plan B on Skywalker twins. TLJ Luke didn’t want to train Rey
as a side note, I find it funny that soooo much emphasis was put on the “THE JEDI BOOKS” when all it said there was “BREATH”
Yes. Remember, Luke’s was going to vanquish Vader; which was a fleeting thought and didn’t go through it. He did not want to train Rey as he saw the Jedi “Order” as just something that breeds a eventually a bad ass with emotional instabilities reigning terror (e.g. Anakin Skywalker). That spill about Sidious captured that.
There were quite a few families. What was really weird was that majority of the cinema appeared to be having the time of their lives, laughing at all the jokes, cheering etc. I was just sat there with my head in my hand.
lol this movie felt longer than Blade Runner 2049 for me but it’s almost half an hour shorter
Heres the one good thing about prequel trilogy and thats Sidious being a senator. EVEN IF the jedi knew who Sidious was, they would have no choice but to kill him on the spot because of how untouchable he is politically. which would mean committing high treason and resulting in the Jedi being exiled from the Republic for being seeing as tyrants for using the force. Anakin would probably still fall to the dark side for seeing the Jedi as too powerful himself (and probably create his own sith cult to fight them) . Some other Senator may or may not find out about Order 66 and use it to wipe out the Jedi or just create an anti Jedi army. Like they were screwed from the word go and that was probably the most interesting part.
