Though that happened after Luke fucked up. Some of those students joined him. A theory going around that the students who joined him are the Knights of Ren
I for one, appreciate being preached to about income inequality by one of the richest corporations on earth. Hopefully in episode 9 we can see Fully Automated Luxury Gay Space Communism.
[details=Spoiler]What happened to the Knights of Ren? I thought they were supposed to be the guards, but apparently not. And as for Snoke, the Visual Dictionary has a few extra tidbits/references for anyone that cares: https://i.imgur.com/bF7NdW5.jpg

Oh shit, that actually happened? I thought that was a nightmare I had where Iâm forced to read bad Star Wars fanfiction on the internet Clockwork Orange style.
The movie was 66% ok, but I would argue A LOT of the content on Canto Bight could have been cut out. Some of it was pointless and weighed the movie down.
There were some questionable decisions:
Spoiler
The whole âNo one can track anyone through hyperspace!â bit irked me as Attack of the Clones revealed that to far-fetched as Obi-Wan used a tracking beacon to follow Slave I through hyperspace. Look, I am positive the new team in charge of the franchise hate the prequels, but I wish they paid attention to the world building and the tech used.
Spent WAY too much time on Canto Bight than necessary. Plot-wise, Finn & Rose should have been more urgent in their search as time was not on their side. If there was room to trim the fat from the movie, it would be there.
While I enjoyed the teasing of the Rule of Two actually being fulfilled on screen, I feel it would have had more of impact if Rey did turn to the Dark Side.
Never learned who Snoke was or where he came from and why the First Order followed him. Did he have an Imperial past? Weâll never know. Not complaining about his death, that was good.
Phasma taken out the way she was. I needed the confrontation between Finn and Phasma to last longer than Finn vs. FN-2199 aka âNinesâ from The Force Awakens. The fight should have been meaningful as a sign of growth for Finn. It did not satisfy me and was too cheap.
WHERE WERE THE KNIGHTS OF REN?!?! Are they dead? Did Snoke have Ben kill them as part of a test? Why tease them in The Force Awakens if they wonât be used?!
I wish that was really Luke on Crait. I wanted to see this Luke on screen:
Overall, I am starting to get disappointed with this trilogy as it is running on nostalgia fumes and not presenting anything new.
I know this will not be popular, but I could care less: at least the prequels tried to be different (though, not well executed).
If I see the next movie return to Jakku or go to an Endore-esque scenario for the final conflict, then there is no point to watching this trilogy.
What does that shit even mean? Less people go to the movies now, and very few of those people do repeat viewings in theaters⌠Especially for blockbusters that always open high, then drop off a cliff the next week as everyone has already seen the film.
This is a highly flawed movie, but people are really reaching for reasons to discredit it.
Shit I think most people all went and saw multiple viewings during opening weekend like I did. Donât really have time to now with it being xmas weekend. Next weekend may be better with people having more time and getting gift cards to the cinema and shit.
Suicide squad and rogue one are also on that list and those movies still ended up doing gang busters in the end.
