Star Wars

LOL at your first point.

When I see reviewers talk about how “awesome” this movie was, I don’t know what they see.

Yeah, it’s a darker tone, but it feels like a movie that was engineered to illicit a certain response. It has good in it, but nothing about this movie made me want to run home and tell my friends that I saw it (except for “that” scene). That war rally speech was a moment that I could literally see a box being checked in the focus group feedback list.

The biggest upset from this movie is the score. This has got to be Micheal Giacchino’s weakest score yet.

Beginning was choppy; middle was solid; ending was killer. 7.5/10

Why is Riz Ahmed playing NYChrisG in this movie? They call him “Bodhi Rook” but I’m certain that’s just an anagram.

It was great.

LOL @ killer

LOOOL

LOOOOOL

they mustve been cray for not using even old Williams music.
it upsets me tremendously.

ANOTHER STAR WARS SPOILER: YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

First part was slow but the second part killed it. Loved the movie.

Spoiler

I didn’t mind the lack of saber battles because I was interested on the grunt side of the story like rogue squadron. It’s not just the lightsabers can win wars.

Felt like Tomino directed the movie lol. Kinda weird not seeing the opening crawl.

Now Ip Man is one with the force.

I thought the movie was great, except for that huge fucking cliffhanger of an ending.

Saw it last night. Absolutely hated it.

No one in the movie even mattered.

One thing I didn’t expect and completely freaked me out:

Spoiler

Tarkin!

I shit you not, they only gave him a month to score the film. I can’t lay that at his feet.

You are joking right?

Spoiler

Without them, the Rebels don’t get the Death Star plans and the Empire wins

That’s a fair point to consider. However, it is still fair to say it’s his weakest score produced.

That’s fine and good for them but that doesn’t mean they didn’t all feel like throw away characters. Because to me every single main character felt like a throw away character. None of them dying felt like it mattered or was impactful. I just didn’t care about anyone or thing going on.

Saying they didn’t matter and saying you didn’t care about them are two different things.

It’s because you hate Star Wars.

Probably. I thought force awakens was Garbo too.

Force awakens was actually quite shit tho.

Eh, I enjoyed the heck out of Force Awakens. Granted, this mostly rests on the performances - the actors had great chemistry, so the too-familiar structure was less of a problem than it would’ve been otherwise.

How well Force Awakens ages, though, is entirely going to depend on what they do with Rey in episode 8-9. They need to explain how she’s that good at the Force, and we need to buy it.

Rogue One was godlike. Third or fourth best Star Wars movie on my list.

I CAN’T WAIT FOR ROGUE TWO.

Spoiler

Vader choke puns too OP.

Vader was every bit the monster he is said to be in this flick.

Those last 5 minutes felt like the beginning of a sci-fi horror flick.

All that was missing was blood on the glass.
