Ahmed Best has been very open about the fandom giving him death threats (same with Jake Lloyd). It almost drove Best to the point of suicide.

I’ll say what I’ve always said about the prequels. Lucas is the creator. You don’t have to like what he makes but he is entitled to do whatever he wants.

Yeah, Jake Lloyd was tormented constantly. Turned to lots of different substances to cope, ended up on Suicide watch in a psychiatric facility. All sortsa shit. Iirc he dropped out of school too.
It destroyed his mental health
