No. A guy puts out a YouTube theory video and everyone blows it out of proportion for clicks. Dude didn’t even try to pretend that this was actually happening. It was just a theory video.

no one would have cared if they just made a trilogy so far away from the main saga that it wouldn’t affect it.

At the same time Disney considering this for 7-8-9 would be them admitting they made a dookie the size of the death star on this is hilarious. Just give the reigns to Filoni or Favreau already and let him grow things. Even if he churns out something meh, at least he’s consistent.

That’s the biggest flaw to Star Wars now, everyone wants to put their input and no one wants to listen and say “this works, this won’t work” and there’s a lack of a single competent captain steering the ship.

How about we just move on from this era of SW finally? Either rewind to before yoda was a sperm cell or jump 500-1000yrs into the future.

And I swear if it’s the future don’t you fucking dare bring up some ancestor bullshit. Cut ties with this shit already.

everyday I played Call of Duty, I dealt with this. “This one is too different!” or “This is too similar to the last game!”

Once a fan of something has their ‘moment’ they wish to relive that forever and will judge everything based on that. For CoD, it’s MW2, for Star Wars, it’s usually Ep4 or 5.

That’s honestly the last FPS where I actually gave a damn about the entire package (single player campaign, multiplayer mode, etc).

Similar to Star Wars, many companies use the brand as a marketing vehicle first and let the other things hopefully fall into place where they may.

I will say that in more recent years I’ve seen a lot more “love” put in to the things I enjoy. I think that’s primarily because there are so many ways to get content. Your “thing” isn’t as novel anymore.

It’s easy. They can just state that episodes 7 through 9 are stories from Coruscant Two. Episodes 1 through 6 are from Coruscant Prime.

Best way to reboot star wars imo is to create a new story in ANOTHER galaxy far far away. It will still be in the same universe and maybe some minor references to the current galaxy but will have its own issues, protagonists, bad guys, aliens/planets but might maintain the force as something in common.

Fresh start, new galaxy, similar principles.

I think that is what they are trying to do with that new High Republic era push, keep the powers, light sabers just change stuff up so they can be more loose.
